quote:

The GOP establishment sold out its own voters once again before the 2022 elections!

Emerald Robinson

When did the GOP cease to be a functioning party? When was the exact moment that you knew the GOP establishment stands for nothing and stands against nothing?

This week brought yet another example of the GOP’s complete ideological collapse. The Senate just passed an unconstitutional “red flag” gun control bill last night with the help of 14 GOP senators — and they did so while Democrat activists were still illegally harassing Supreme Court Justices at their private homes. They did so one week after a Democrat activist tried to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh at his private residence. They did so while the GOP’s chief pansy Mitch McConnell was still complaining that Democrats refused to pass legislation for extra security to protect Supreme Court justices! What greater signal could the GOP establishment send that it has no interest in defending the lives of its own judges — let alone its own voters?

Texas Senator John Cornyn was the lead GOP negotiator on this gun control bill, and he pushed the legislation against the wishes of his own party and his own constituents — as he discovered at the Texas GOP convention last week.

I know that Burr is retiring. Can we work to get the 14 GOPe OUT? I know there are more but Turtle holds them back if they are at risk.

Cornyn made a crappy remark about those that booed him. What a POS. He doesn't care. None of the GOPe do.

Thom Tillis (NC) got in on the HFC Tea Party coattails and burnt us. Burr turned out to be a mole for Mitch Turtle as well.

All the mucky mucks whining about Herschal Walker not being a smooth talker need to take note. I'm sure all these sellouts can talk a good game at a campaign rally, and maybe they had an impressive background (I think Cornyn was a federal judge before joining the Senate).

But this should be a reminder, that even with the fancy Ivy leage law degrees and all the smooth talking, I would still rather trust putting these decisions in the hands of the retired football player who proably took too many blows to the head and doesn't speak well.

I agree with you.

Who cares if he doesnt sound like a politician?

I believe he loves America which at this point is better than 90% of D.C.

Each time I post something about GOP RINOs, I get downvoted to hell on this board.
Bottom line: Most of the Republican constituency believes their party is the shite.
Reality ... I'd always vote for a Rep over a Dem; but if you for one second think these GOP politicians aren't out for themselves, you're misguided.

Term limits. Transparency. Zero salaries for politicians ... get on board, or continue to be screwed.

Murkowski is running this year.

Collins narrowly won re-election in 2020.

After Romney, McCain, Ryan, the Generals/JCS all being pimps for their slush funds and blowing the CCP as bad as the Clinton's.

Name a reason we ought to allow the establishment to rule. Who in the fuq do they think they are? Turtle is slick as a snake and does certain things to lure people in. Just like Graham.

This. For the love of God, this. Severe term limits, as in one term and you’re out. Period.

Wouldn't matter. Do you think Martha's Vineyard estates can be bought on a politician's salary?

I do. Which is why I plan to vote for him. I don’t mind it when a person answers the question that was asked.

Might as well lose. They always cave on legislation that matters.

At least I know I’m getting f-cked by the Democrats. Vote all the Republicans out and start over.

I do not think shitty Rino's will even be able to frick this up. I despise these Rino's ,but they are betting that this President is so shitty that they can turn their back on the base and get away with it. Sadly, I think they are right. The so called progressives and new left are not going to show up and it will be a blowout still. Hopefully SCOTUS will strike this down.

We are going to have to step up and run for office ourselves. You have to start giving people real options at the polls.
