The GOP needs a Newt-type speaker. Ryan, Boehner... colossal embarrassments. Same old, same old...

Certainly agree with you on that point. Rand Paul wouldn't push for increased use of privatized prisons and more policing of marijuana.

The fact the GOP congress is flaunting their lies and deceitfulness by sending bills to repeal Obamacare when they knew they wouldn't be signed and now refusing to get rid of it when they know they can is absolutely disgusting.

Perfect summation of their worthlessness.

They are political hacks concerned with their own self interest. Nothing more.

There is only one party now. And it has made Putin the ultimate Bogey-Man.

Soooooo........ you'd be completely wrong.

Make no mistake. The GOP has no intention of helping President Trump. They will stonewall him just like they did Obama, maybe more.

Obama rolled over for the Deep State and kept troops in Afghanistan his whole 8 years, when it is a totally futile exercise run by and for the Deep State. Trump is thwarting the Deep State by not attacking Russia.

The GOP is not going to help him. They will pretend to help him.

I will quote myself.

quote:

In fact, the GOP will not want to repeal the ACA because that would be considered a success for Pres. Trump. The GOP under no circumstances wants Trump to appear successful.

Follow the money. Something like $5 T was spent directly on the war in Iraq. The defense contractors/Deep State want that spigot turned on again, and Trump is not cooperating.

One reason Hillary Clinton smirked her way through the 2016 election, oh so sure of victory, was because she was the anointed of the war mongers; she was chomping at the bit to bear bait the Russians. That is why the FBI let her off for her thousands of felonies. The Deep State needed her sociopathy in the White House.

There is only one party in DC.

The People's business is not its agenda.

It will attempt to neutralize or somehow remove President Trump.

Very true for the most part. There are some that will hopefully prevail like Paul for instance.

I had hopes this go round, not in the man but in the ideas being tossed around to change the previous state of affairs.

I can only sit and watch.
