I wouldn't describe it as nihilistic, but I can see how that interpretation could be stamped.
I do care. I have merely reached a stage of acceptance that my vote doesn't count on the national level, and I have absolutely no reason to keep getting all worked up about the out-of-reach.
I can only control what I can control. Nothing more. I am absolutely doing things to fight at the local level, and supporting some outsiders running for office at the county and state level, but in the big picture that's all I can do right now.
And my apologies for invoking the Q thread. I see BoarEd start a thread and that's where my mind automatically goes. Plus, I keep seeing "just wait" and "it's happening" and a bunch of sunshine pumping when nothing tangible has happened... yet. Will it? Sure hope so. But not going to bank on it.

If you'd like more information from there, the entire series of articles is highly recommended, but depending on where your questions might lie, I may be able to suggest specific ones. (e.g. Part 3 is all about the military responsibility during this continuity of government operation. Part 13 is all about the Executive Orders and other supporting docs that Trump activated before leaving office, etc.)
