floyd's family got, what, $27M? The Babbitts' deserve a lot more than what a criminal that ODed gets.

I'm guessing the FBI will open a investigation into that family... and then work with the doj to bankrupt them.

I would happily donate to help pay for their lawyers. I hope they're wiping their butts with Benjamins after this.

Seems kinda of cheap for an unarmed woman climbing through a window her tax dollars paid for.

Seems like the black cop should hold some culpability in the matter.

What if it had been a white cop and a black woman?

Guess we will finally have confirmation on Ofc. Byrd. Will be interesting to see if they scraped any of his social media before he deleted.

Sometimes the biggest benefit of a lawsuit is not the end result or verdict, but the ability to conduct discovery with the force of law and subpoena power. Whoever the officer was who pulled the trigger, we are going to find out very soon, and the information will be public record. We'll also know his background information and political beliefs, and which administration hired him, etc.

Should’ve given that to a Chauvin and the other officers for making Minneapolis a better place

Hopefully, we get the officer's name in discovery. Doxx him and ruin his life.

That would be silly since the lawyers are working for a cut of any award. The family isn't paying them.

I would think the defendants would settle this quickly to keep the facts (along with a name) from coming to light. They don't want any incriminating information to get out.
