The explosion in hate crime hoaxes says something about modern “justice” movements

Back when there was actual systematic and deeply ingrained cultural subjugation of minority groups, these hoax stories never happened. The reason is two fold
1) obviously, when it was actually happening, there was no need it fake it
2) more importantly, oppressed minorities didn’t fake stuff because they did not want to.
Why would modern “oppressed” people want to fake an attack? Because modern justice movements are tools through which people argue they are owed and should be given something.
Actual movements in the past against actual oppression simply wanted those nefarious societal practices to stop. They weren’t looking to shirk responsibility or be looked at as perpetual victims. They just wanted the same fair shake as everyone else. No special treatment wanted.
Jussie Smollett wants special treatment. He wants society to give him something.

It’s because racism is more or less going away. Of course it never will completely but it’s not nearly what it used to be and the left just can’t stand for that to happen. So they drum up fake racism to make us all look like monsters to keep black folks in line. It’s sickening

No. It's being redirected. Just look at the hatred and death threats that get spewed every time a white male appears on television, or a magazine. We still have government sanctioned racial discrimination (affirmative action.)

It was the early 90s and Christina Hoff Summers was attending a feminist conference. She considered herself one at the time.
She was expecting an interesting academic discussion, she got something else entirely.
Weird politics, strange pseudo science, but worst of all, this corrosive negativity.
Rather than celebrate the successes of the movement and the accomplishments of the people in the room, it quickly turned into a competition, where everyone of these college educated, college employed, and well paid professionals, tried to one up the other in a grievance Olympiad.
It was toxic, and perhaps most importantly, unhappy.

It is truly laughable that some feel racism is as bad today as it was when Dr. MLK was walking the streets of Selma. Today's youth don't know racism and true struggle for equal rights. A black man was elected president TWICE!
Think about the social issues of today. Abortion up until birth, chicks with dicks wanting to compete against women. Genderless bathrooms. All of these things are totally absurd but today's SJW need a cause to support.
