The Dems will not be happy with some gains in mid-terms. Trump will still have 2 more years. But if they get the Senate they have a better shot at impeachment and they are starting on that focus now.
I'm getting daily emails from Act Blue, Quora and Left Net (they got it from OFA). Each sends me daily propaganda and in the last 3 weeks I've had 20 focusing on Trump's mental decline and senility.
They quote a quip or sarcastic comment Trump makes in an interview and frame it as him being serious. They will quote something he wrote on X and claim that his word choice or phraseology is 3rd grade level (it's not).
So, if they get the Senate there will be articles of impeachment right away with the grounds being mentally unfit.

Senate can’t impeach. The House impeaches and the Senate holds the trial.

And if Cassidy is any indication, RINO house members won’t vote to impeach because it will be the end of their career.

Yeah, they'll need both to make it work. But if they even get a one seat lead in each they'll give it a try. They're not patient enough to wait two more years.

not really, they still need 67 votes to get a conviction in the Senate - all they need is a majority in the House to get the actual impeachment

That’s one reason I’m so frustrated w republicans - there are at least 2 or 3 judges that should be impeached right now

Senate trial would require 67 votes to convict an impeachment and remove a president. A snowball stands a better chance in hell.

Civics 101 went over this !

I'm not assuming success at all. I'm predicting a try. Why else would all of their fundraising focus on Trump being senile? Unless they just want to convince their voters that it's possible.

He could be impeached with a majority of the House.

The Cabinet......not the House of Representatives, are the only ones that can bring the 25th amendment (senile) to remove a president

We now know who slept through most of civics 101

Him owning their sad asses at every turn?

Gerrymandering and ballot harvesting, which may be enough depending on who is counting the votes.

He may not be out but making that vote out a gigantic target on his back.

House members watching that Senate race would know that the base would turn on them in an instant for doing it.

OK, you and other posters are totally missing my point. Here it is:
Trump will not be removed from office.
Any impeachment attempt will fail.
The Dems will not have strong control of Congress after midterms.
What I'm saying is:
If they have a tiny success in mid-terms, they will attempt impeachment on the argument of senility.
M'kay?

Let them spend time impeaching instead of spending time stealing and frauding - they aren't going to be a party for much longer
