The Democrats are twisting the meaning of Campaign Finance Laws…

They are saying it’s an illegal act for president Trump to seek justice for what he believes is a crime committed by Joe Biden’s Son. They say it’s a “thing of value” to his reelection campaign and therefore a violation of the Campaign Finance Laws (CFL). I think it’s too broad an interpretation of the term “thing of value” to include investigating an alleged crime.
Oh, I forgot…
If president Trump’s campaign simply reimburses the Ukrainians for the cost of their investigation, then it would no longer be a violation of the CFL. No laws broken means no abuse of power. I learned this from the Dems twisted logic that although the Steele Dossier was “a thing of value”, it was bought and paid for, so it’s ok.

Again I ask, why would Trump need to pressure Ukraine when Ukraine has been trying in vain since 2016 to have the allegations investigated? It’s as idiotic as a salesmen having to pressure someone to buy a car when the customer called ahead looking for a vehicle and then showed up on the lot with a bag of cash. Ukraine is and has been highly motivated to have the US investigate corruption in their country. They’ve been trying to turn over evidence for god sakes.

A definition that expansive could mean re-election itself is a thing if value.

They know they have nothing on Trump. This whole act is about the election. Hard working Americans are pissed about the time & money that’s been wasted on democrat’s epic temper-tantrum so democrats desperately need to find some dirt on Trump. However, their plan backfired because Democrats never thought Trump would release everything unredacted. That simple act destroyed their whole plan. Pelosi knows that admitting they were wrong or had bad information would be devastating. Their only option is to go down swinging
