remember when he used to say it would just magically die off all by itself?

So, since the thread is about what the two individuals at the top of the democratic ticket at least implying what they might have done differently, what were either of them saying or doing (one is a sitting Senator) about this during that timeframe?
I know the point is quite literally a "whataboutism" because that is what the complaint is.

Ill play devils advocate with you:
lets say people on this board are right and masks do nothing in regards to COVID, or if they do then we dont need social distancing. Therefore its no big deal that trump never wears one, and its cute when he encourages crowds to ignore that stuff.
The official CDC policy is still...
"Social distancing should be practiced in combination with other everyday preventive actions to reduce the spread of COVID-19, including wearing masks.
So what the frick is our policy? What are we supposed to be doing? Why are the Surgeon General and CDC saying to do things that trump doesnt do? What is the plan here?
