They can’t enforce their rulings with an executive action. Congress only has the power of the purse. The only thing keeping our country from a coupe is the executive branch seizing the power to fund government.
I could see an effort to do so in the name of corruption. We are a third world country now. If Trump seized power and suspended elections. No one would lift a finger to stop him. It would be the ultimate power grab. Honestly I would be in favor of such a move. The corruption in the Courts and Congress is to the extent that I don’t think we can fix it. When Trump leaves office there’s nothing to prevent them from going right back to status quo.

Well at least you're honest about it, I guess.

You should just move to China. They have the political system you’re hoping for.

That’s a dumb thing to say.

This is a pretty good summary of where the board is right now. Just don’t cry when the authoritarian you support turns on you or your political opposition becomes that authoritarian.

I’d love to see the rabbit holes you went down during Covid to understand how to got here.

Do you think they could do worse than selling our country to highest bidder? Open boarders and endless wars? Weaponizing the DOJ and the IRS? Turning the intelligence community on its citizens?

It is honestly no different than the judicial and congressional coups we have faced as of late.

Our Republic died in Dallas in November 1963. We just did not realize it.

It's the same stupidity as "lawfare"

They pretend their argument is based in a legitimacy that the out group won't have, to preserve their temper tantrum in times of their hypocrisy being exposed in the future.

There is no such thing as a "judicial and congressional coup" and no such nonsense is going on

DJT is getting into some uncomfortable territory for me the way he has convinced most supporters that any opposition/checks are illegitimate.

Just shut up. It is going on daily. And they are not being held accountable. Disgusting.

It was always going to end in such a power grab, you're just mad that your team got beat to the punch by the other team.

They're just teeting up doubling down on the illegitimacy because normal people don't want this and will vote for DEMs to in the midterms, which creates the second layer of illegitimacy: "stolen" elections.

These people need to get out of the bubble/echo chamber, breathe fresh air, and talk to normal people and remember what reality is like.
