His draw had always been his support group. His band is awesome. His voice is unique enough that people listen. Definitely not a good traditional singing voice though.

As a former DJ from way back I never listened to any male singers for voice. It was the music (Stones or Hendrix) or the lyrics (Dylan or Rush).
If I want voice I go to female vocalists. From Judy Collins then Linda Ronstadt, and more contemporary..
