Exactly right. Which strategically is a disaster for the GOP. Dems look bad right now on border and economy, so let’s not shut down the gov and give them an out.

You make the Dems do it by proposing a bare bones bill.

Johnson gave away all the leverage.

Your glossing over the most important part of your statement. It is NON-ESSENTIAL govt workers........I will go to my grave not understanding why we need these types in the 1st place much less worry about it shutting down....and even worse adding horrendous pork with it.
