As much as I don't like Baldwin how is he responsible for this? This is the equivalent of a chef poisoning the food and the server serving it w/ out knowledge.
Baldwin is a massive a-hole and looks terrible for lying but he didn't know he was given a live weapon.

He was the producer.
He was the one in charge.
He hired the armorer.

And on top of all that he pointed the weapon and pulled the trigger(albeit even if he thought was a prop) at someone not even involved in the scene.

It’s not his first movie set with guns. Anytime someone hands you a weapon, always check to see if it’s hot even if they tell you it isn’t.

She wasn't even present when the murder took place. Just saying. Alec was there, but see was somewhere else. I don't see how she can be found guilty of this when she wasn't even present.

Well I sort of do. But don't know enough details to say for sure she had a hand in the negligence or in the sacr... murder.

Did they diversity hire for the person in charge of the deadly weapons?
No, it was a legacy hire.

Her father has been a well-respected Hollywood armorer for decades and decades.

It was a low budget film, so they hired a legacy that they could get cheaply.

Even so, they also put her in charge of props. Apparently, she was calling her dad every night and complaining about the workload. The reason she was not in the church at the time of the shooting is that they had sent her out to do some sort of prop-related task.

She's really "walkin' the walk" on the whole late-term thing.

I am a Glock armorer and have also been a Sig amorer. I can promise you, that is not the type of person that shows up at legit armorers classes.

I think this term "armorer" gets thrown around very loosely.

If you take the Glock Armorer's course, that trains you how to service Glock firearms per the manufacturer's specs.

The profession of being an "armorer" in association with the movie industry is much different. They primarily handle prop guns, prop knives, real guns, real knives, blank firing guns, etc. Some pro-level armorers even make or modify the guns themselves for certain movies. They make the guns ready for safe use and train the actors. They handle all the weapons on and off set and keep them secured when they are not in use. They supervise all the handling of all live and blank ammunition and generally have to keep track of every round.

In short, it has very little to do with repairing guns like the "armorer" you are referring to.

Holy shite I don’t think you could dream up someone to check more boxes for the stereotype “incompetent Hollywood armorer”
