CptBengal is a fine American .You have aligned yourself with people who hurl urine balloons at people and can't trouble themselves to observe a moment of national unity without pissing themselves. I'll take my chances with the Normals .

All pettiness aside ( you can do it) - The Progressive Left has lost The culture. They jumped the shark, went a bridge too far. Eleven hundred political seats lost since 2008 , even before this current suicide mission. If the goal is to alienate every normal person in America, mission accomplished. And now the Dems OWN kneeling . Whether this reflects your personal position or not, this is your coalition. Be honest with yourself and admit the hole that your coalition has dug for itself . We know it, you know it - it's just a cultural rout at this point. Because you guys are so emotional, you can't stop yourself from running headfirst into all these traps being set for you by TrumpDaddyPuppetMaster.

There is some validity to this, but it should be caveated with
-gay marriage
-ACA
-increasing acceptance of gender redefinition
-statue removal even in right-leaning communities
-no sign of any stopping the huge entitlement burden carried by this country
Set aside whether these things matter to conservatism or whether you agree with them, they're goals of the progs. They're winning plenty, and while maybe Trump's win will ultimately beat back some of this stuff, his wins in the culture war are largely amorphous to this point.

And, they came out of their closets and revealed themselves for who they really are.

No doubt- The Left controls the Institutions . Education, entertainment, media, social media, etc. And some of their " equality" victories have broad support even among Conservatives, including myself.
I never said this is a victory for Conservativism ( though in many respects it is ) . I am not even talking about specific policy . All of that is a distant second to this mass CULTURAL movement we are witnessing. This has always been a Cultural movement- that's kind of the point. A realignment of competing visions and Normals are winning this one BIGLY.
Normals are now firmly organized AGAINST cultural Progressivism, which is owned by the Democratic Party. They have finally joined the fight against Progressivism after a generation of scoffing from the sidelines . It's not only the 1100 lost Dem seats it's the increasing skepticism that greets media and entertainment figures. Finally, normals have drawn a line in the sand. It's a beautiful thing.
