what kind of plan would you say involves about 30,000 kids under the age of five dying every day from starvation, abuse, neglect and diarrhea.

Your God is impotent or evil take your pick

Jesus was honest about the inevitability of suffering.
In John 16:33 he said, "You will have suffering in this world."
He didn't say you might—he said it is going to happen.

We live in a broken world.
Why?
I don’t know.
Someday I’ll have that clarity.

For now, He brings me peace to deal with the present and courage to deal with my future.

I know you mean well Brother, but consider for a moment that evangelicalism has been preaching this messagel for half a century and the deterioration in our moral compass as a nation has coincided with that.

There's a sermon preached by Brother Ray Comfort called Hell's Best Kept secret that all Christians should hear.

psst dumbass, it was rhetorical, there is no God, there is no plan, we are sentient, self aware animals. that is it.

We should develop our morality from reasoned well thought out discussions of right vs wrong, not some ancient books where the authors knew less about the world than 4th graders today.

which would also mean there is no devil.

I've read the Bible front to back several times and I've yet to find the answer to this:
