As evidenced by the post moratoriums all over the place

Some saying Trump was too extreme, others saying he didn’t do anything
And on and on

People will generally follow someone if they see they are getting shite done and making their life easier.

Ron DeSantis won a historic 20 pt win election in a bad 2022 cycle because of this.

People will make up sorts of reasons why this or that… it’s like trying to get a straight answer from a woman. They aren’t ever going to tell you what they really feel.

Trump and Congress simply didn’t do this for people. It looked like they were bumbling through everything and not getting the “wins” whether it be the war or passing legislation.

On top of that there were some economical factors and people associated them fairly or unfairly with the Reps

It’s as simple as that

Well it wasnt all this way...until the GOP decided importing the third world was good for business.

Not really.

Delivering (or being lucky enough to be in office while other factors deliver) on a majority of the following will see any politician coast to victory:

* Affordable gas
* Affordable housing
* Affordable college education
* Low unemployment
* Low inflation
* Keeping America out of war
* A level of corruption that is possible to ignore

That's what Americans want.

Neither party has won the presidency when they already have it since 1988

For anybody under 50 it has always been this way.

I think there is a pretty clear top line message: the American people generally are sick and tired of endless wars in the Middle East. If the Iran thing had lasted a couple of weeks it would have been no big deal. But instead we have been fricking around over there for 8 months and have not really accomplished much other than driven fuel prices through the roof and allowed military contractors to offload old inventory requiring us to pay for it to be replenished.

Trump said no new ME wars. Then did this. It’s not that hard.

These are conservative issues, not issues that get democrats elected

Fee healthcare
Free housing
Free schooling
More benefits
Taxing the rich
Loan forgiveness

Those get democrats electedd.

They can actually deliver all of those things for a little while. I can live live a pretty lavish lifestyle for 10 years, and be impovershed for the remaining 15 or 20 years of my life. Our debt is already crippling, and we are promising more freebies. It's unsustainable.

Wrong.

Trump won in 2024 because of 1 overriding fact - inflation under Biden that hasn’t been seen in a generation.

Trump proceeded to pass tariffs, cut taxes, start wars, and deport cheap labor. A 10th grader could tell you each of those actions is inflationary.

Keep prices down, don’t start wars. Everything else is just fodder for us to talk and pass the time.
