Texas Guard spokesman Brandon Jones could offer few details and referred questions about the reason for the deployment to Gov. Greg Abbott’s office, which did not respond to questions about it Monday afternoon.

quote:

Jones said troops could be sent to Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio. He didn’t know how many troops would be deployed to each of those cities. The plan calls for troops to be posted at the Alamo and the state Capitol, among other places.

quote:

The guard in recent weeks has said its commander, Maj. Gen. Tracy Norris, had been asked to draft contingency plans in case of trouble in major Texas cities. Across the country, the National Guard Bureau said Monday, state elections commissions are asking their governors for guard assistance to provide personnel to local municipalities that need help in staffing polling sites.

Good to hear competent governors stemming violence before it happens.

When certain cities allow, actually encourages this type of behavior to happen on the streets, it forces other cities to make grown up decisions. This shite should have ended on night 1 in Portland and Minnesota and anywhere else. But we have weak minded chumps leading large populations of weak minded people.

I wish every swing state would do this. We will have voter intimidation in certain districts.

We have seen the Left turn to violence when things do not go there way. The Party of Peace and Tolerance is far from it. If the Polls keep trending toward Tump, look for something at one of the early polling places this weekend.

This will amplify my pleasure of watching LA, SF, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, NY, Philly burn.

Hopefully Atlanta will be OK. They went through enough with Sherman some years ago. Peace out.

Well just color me shocked it’s these 5 cities in Texas. Now let me think very hard...what is it that these five cities have in common? Would it be they are all Democrat run urban areas? Naw couldn’t be that. Large Democrat run urban cities across the US have been and are models of civility, right?

This is the world we live in where the Left has decided that violence is acceptable and even encouraged. They either get their way or burn the thing down. They have not a clue what the other side looks like once everything is burned. The ideological and political monster that rises out of the ashes will be something terrible to behold.

I would imagine the tolerance level will be pretty low and given this is National and not the result of locally driven knotheads

On both sides.

The left will continue to be violent as hell if it gets its way through this shite.

The right is putting up with this at the moment but may reach “frick it” and start giving them a taste of their own medicine.

Neither is good for our country and the people currently in charge of the Dems will be some of the first against the wall by either side.

Absolutely. That was and is the beauty of our system. The checks and balances. The framers of our constitution knew all too well what happens when one group rules over everyone regardless of political stance. I challenge anyone in this board to point to another system of government that has worked better than this. The big flaw...corruption. The framers saw things through their religious beliefs and a code of honor. Today that is not the case for many in the political arena. This is what unfortunately brought down many of the great civilizations in history. We are not immune. Either this corruption is rooted out in all levels or we go the way of so many nations throughout history.
