Texas can’t just print money like the feds do. Closing the border costs too much for a Texas to do on our own.

One more cost conscious way would be to ask for volunteers and deputize them. I know a lot of folks who would go down there for a few weeks for free.

I fully expect a judge to halt this…. Wonder how quick the legislature can push a law through. That will be more difficult to halt.

I’m thrilled he did it now but he should have done it sooner.

Houston Methodist Hospital issued their vaccine mandate April 1 and fired or forced resignation of 150 employees back in June when a federal judge upheld it. Where was Abbott then? Do those employees get their jobs back now?

Yes. It’s the governors and mayors. Mostly Dems. But that is who has implemented the mandates
