What an a-hole. He acts like he's pure as the driven snow. Everyone in Texas (except for his Repub buddy senators who voted no) knows that Paxton is as crooked as a rattlesnake.

Yeah, one of the charges against him was along the lines of using bribes to remodel his kitchen.

Can you believe the crooked bastard did that?

Only problem, is he didn’t. Another swing and and miss.

Sounds like his defense shredded the prosecution.

I thought you were dead and I had a glass of bourbon to celebrate. Imagine my disappointment when you posted again.

The problem with most impeachments is that they are inherently political.

Impeachment is a political process. So they’re all political.

He was tried by the Texas Senate GOP after being impeached by the Texas House GOP.

In one of the most conservative states in the country he clung on to his position. Maybe he needs to take a seat.

Why don't you explain to me what it means.

My brother in Christ, you’re the one declaring him guilty. The burden of proof falls on you.

Yeah the mistress was totally made up, just ask Angela Paxton. Total coincidence she just happens to find a job with Nate Paul.

Prove it. And that’s a picture of his wife.

Paxton sold unregistered securities to his clients and was paid an undisclosed commission of 100,000 shares in the company

Paxton's story is that the 100,000 shares were a gift to him from the company's founder.

Civil charges for which he was acquitted by a US District Judge. Twice.

What a terrible take. He solidified his position big time by slam dunking on the sham of an impeachment.

I would love nothing more than to see state governments start to challenge federal authority.

I am a broken record but the answer is simple:

Stop accepting any federal funding then tell them to get out

Why don't you explain why and how the 2015 state securities fraud indictment against Paxton (guilty as sin) has never been brought to trial?

It’s 2023, 3 1/2 months away from 2024.

Almost 9 years. Haven’t those charges been thrown out twice by a Federal Judge?

Or am I thinking of something else? If it’s still valid, why hasn’t it come to trial in almost 9 years?

Exactly why it will never happen. Democrats and Republicans agree here. Fed funding for state projects is a good thing.

Why don't you explain then how it happened that Wikileaks released the DMC emails 45 minutes after the Access Hollywood tapes were released. And also explain the interview that Giuliani gave the NYT TWO MONTHS BEFORE the Trump-Zelensky call desvribing how Giuliani was going to Ukraine because Trump wanted Ukraine to continue it's investigation into Hunter Biden and that Giuliani was going GIVE THE UKRAINIANS REASON TO COMTINUE the Biden investigation because

The DNC emails were shown to have been downloaded locally, not in a hackers haven in Siberia. And after John Podesta said an example needed to be made out of the leaker, Seth Rich wound up dead.

Trump/Giuliani were looking into Ukrainian corruption because Biden himself admitted he used our tax dollars as leverage to get the guy investigating it fired.

I would have never thought the would be extra room in your head for Paxton to live rent free, but here we are.

You're too stupid to actually make a substantive response.

You should stick with down votes. That's your intellectual ceiling. Otherwise, you just look like a jackasse.

You know how I know you didn’t watch the trial?

You left out the part where the Paxton’s moved back in after the renovations were completed in July, the whistleblowers went to the FBI on Sept 29th, Cammack notified Paxton he got a cease and desist on the morning of Sept 30th, paxton had a check cut on the night of Sept 30th from his blind trust to a company that wasn’t licensed in the state in July, and the invoice for the work wasn’t actually created until Oct 1st. But if you had watched, I’m sure you would have mentioned that.

So the last time you did renovations, did you have to pay any money up front and did you get to wait months after the work was done to get the bill?

Yes - I watched the trial, and you should too
