Wasn’t he publicly accused of something by a high profile attorney?

I guess it was no big deal to have the Cheif Justice accused of criminal behavior in a very public, and highly publicized manner.

Totally normal.

It happens all the time.

Yikes.

I meant Roberts.

Oh well, time for bed. My brain took a beating today and it shows.

I was commenting on your Lin Wood being high-profile and in any way credible

But yeah, Kennedy the Justice and Kennedy the defendant turned plaintiff in this particular case could be confusing also.

Not a fan of this; I remember the McMartin trials of the 80s at a preschool. YES, it's a horrible crime. But if kids can be swayed to lop off their parts then I don't think it's a stretch to say those younger can have their memories/perceptions groomed! Little sympathy for genuine offenders, but methinks such laws too often would be embraced by a "righteous" mob.

Not good, but (yes, I mean this) our world has bigger problems!

"I was with you until that last line..." I can already hear.

Not to mention the shite coming out of family law courts that will carry an entire new weight of meaning for the accused.

“currently conservative-controlled U.S. Supreme Court”

Leftist media at is again. In what world is John Robert, Amy Coney Barret, or Brett Kavanaugh considered conservative?

I'm sure it would be like most death penalty cases now.

DNA evidence would have to be introduced before it became a capital case.

Supreme Court will strike down. Already ruled no death penalty for rape.

I didn’t read the article, so maybe this is taken care of, but I can just imagine the first 19 year old sentenced to death for banging a 16 year old. Hopefully there are reasonable age limits.

Nothing but virtue signaling. They know they can't do it. The Supreme Court already ruled against it when Louisiana tried. You all are quite dumb. If you catch someone doing that to a child then you should take them out right then and there. No jury would convict you.

They undoubtedly have pictures of him and I dont trust the Amy "I am a catholic conservative" to do the right thing and remove emotions.

I'm all for flamethrowing open shut case pedophiles.

At the same time, I remember my 9th grade math teacher, who was fired immediately after his 13 year old stepdaughter said he touched her. Then later said she made it up for attention. That guy doesn't deserve to die. And cases like that are why the death penalty is hard to justly enforce. Once you make that decision there's no coming back.

Kid's brains aren't fully developed to understand full adult logic (saying the obvious) and there's a reason they go to juvie instead of real prison.
