explained in Scott Adams' podcast-go straight to 31:15

Basically people tend to perform to expectations as in the Pygmalion effect where you take a random kid and tell them they are gifted and super smart. The kid tends to perform higher.

The opposite is true as well. If you tell a kid that he is dumb or that there is an invisible force that will hold him back (systemic racism), they will tend to self defeat.

It's brainwashing. Why are they teaching kids about the holocaust in 3rd grade? I never heard a peep about the Soviet genocides until I was like 20

The idea that all whites somehow have implicit bias etc. is incredibly racist

No boogeyman in the closet exist to keep people from reaching their dreams or goals. The USA is the least racist country in the world.

Well, there is some danger there. The idea of telling kids they're smart (when they aren't) is all about the self-esteem movement. It doesn't work when the kid finds out he's stupid.

A good coach doesn't need to tell an athlete what he's good at. He knows it. The coach needs to tell the athlete what he is doing wrong so that improvement can occur.

In the classroom I have had teachers that praised everyone for everything. I knew it was bullshite so praise meant nothing. OTOH, I had teachers who praised no one. And on the rare occasion I heard 'Zach, that's really pretty good' it made my day.

It's straight out of the progressive playbook. And by that I mean it's centuries old. It's what both Marx and Lenin did. Label one side the oppressed and the other side the oppressor. And one state to rule them all...

Yep, but the Left is the party of science....only when it aligns with their narrative.

Granted, you can't fix stupid. That will eventually bubble up no matter what.

But don't sabatoge them in the early years.

Telling it exists, not a problem. Telling them it will affect them, problem.

So many black parents teach it. And unfortunately with cops killing blacks posted across social media it's something they cant unsee.
