Harry Reid lied about Reek Romney (still not funny, even if Mittens is a POS) cheating on his taxes, right before the 2012 election, when it was obviously illegal for him to have any such information that Romney didn't freely offer himself.
After he lied and it negatively affected the vote in favor of Obama, Reid was asked about it, and his response? "He (Romeny) lost, didn't he?" Stating quite frankly that the ends justified the means. A sitting US Senator can and did say anything to besmirch a fellow Senator in order to have his party's candidate win.
