Because it's not politics, not to them. It's human rights the same as child slavery or clean water.
Which is an attractive pitch, right? LGBT rights are human rights or whatever. But defining LGBT rights is highly political, dishonest and an ever-moving target, and therein lies the BS.
This, of course, is how the left is intruding into the freedom of conscience space. Religious objections to homosexuality or transgenderism are no longer permitted - or at least we're headed there. "Sure, do whatever you want, but if you're an orthodox Christian who acknowledges that belief you just might not be able to bank here or work there. Or we might find some rarely-enforced law and try and squeeze you under it even where the facts probably don't bear out any violation in order to make an example (see: abortion protestors).

FWIW, the position taken by the team is not the issue. It's constant vapid virtue signaling with ZERO substance other than to be the basis of some social media posts. If you are going to take a stance for/against something, then take a fricking meaningful stance. Not some "hey look at us. We care. But not really enough to do anything important or that might cause us to suffer negative consequences"

100%, I have seen people advocate for Homosexuality to be illegal here plenty of times. Plus all the general homophobia that normally exists here.

Culture. The left is killing our culture step by step. Doing this on world stage embarrasses the overal US by world perspective. Same thing as in Europe. Its a thousand cuts via many ways.
Everyone in world watching WC (and this is biggest workd viewership of all sports including our football). And all of them will see this logo pushing gays and laugh at us.
