Yes. But the small time scammers using Trump’s NIL is really not the issue. The issue is the RNC and SuperPACs using Trump’s NIL without his permission. The bigger organizations are easier to take legal action against. I don’t believe the Trump organization is really worried about the small timers until the small timers get big enough to worry about.

There’s an obvious disconnect between Trump’s most dedicated supporters and the campaign itself. One of you was just making the claim that Trump is a genius because now we’ll see his face everywhere on this seal despite the campaign saying we will sue you if you use it

The entire purpose is to communicate to potential donors that this solicitation is Trump approved if you’re going appeal to Trump in the message. The RNC and many SuperPACs not affiliated with Trump do this and the Trump org is trying the rein it in.

He would probably rather not self fund but I imagine he will eventually have to. Probably loan his campaign $100 million or so and the campaign can pay him back over time.
