Sorry.

California, with its relatively large tax burden compared to other states, has seen a taxpayer exodus in recent years and, along with it, billions in taxable gross income.

But then they continue to vote for the exact type of politician they are trying to get away from.
Just because you have money doesn't make you smart.

What is the state tax rate? Which taxes are the most egregious? Is it state income tax or is it business tax? And what is the tax rate? That’s potentially close to a billion dollars in gubmint money disappearing. Good for the flee’ers.

It seems crazy that republicans live California and NY . They need to move and let the states fall apart. Or the red counties need to try and leave like the ones in Oregon.

I have a few years left here to complete to finish up my work. I intend on pulling my family and my pension moneys out of this Homeless laden, drug infested, liberal illegal alien lovin' over crowded cesspool of political quagmire piece of real estate called California once complete.

We spent 27 years in Los Angeles.
I retired on July 20 of last year. We moved to Nevada on July 21.

I really don't think they have a choice given our current voting system. Even if they didn't want too something tells me they voted for Biden.

I would only live in Chico, San Diego, or Redding in California.
And there's a good chance that 2 out of those 3 will be annexed into "Greater Idaho" at some point.

I know this isn’t a one size fits all example but I remember hearing somewhere that exit polling data from the 2018 midterms in Texas showed that more transplants who moved from places like California voted for Cruz over Beto and vice versa with native Texans.
Maybe not everyone fleeing these blue shitholes is voting Dem and you can’t count on natives from a red state voting that way (see here in Louisiana and how we ended up with JBE... twice. Not to mention Mary Landrieu all those years just a little while ago)
Just food for thought.

Lifelong resident. Born in Mountain View and raised in Fresno. Can’t wait to get out. This place will always be home but my God, it isn’t what I grew up in. We’re going down quickly and the current exodus will only speed up the collapse. Nevada has intrigued us but we prefer the mountains so somewhere around Tahoe would be ideal.

Good for you, but mark Virginia off your list, too.

You country bumpkins just don't get it do you? This time they'll get it right, just like communism.

Yeah unfortunately it's just a spreading, terminal disease moving to another area of the body.

They’re turning Nashville into a complete leftist craphole, complete with nutcase truck bombing.

The only answers is to have a “National” mandatory state income tax rate of 12.3%. This would level the playing field.

Shows that all liberal policies do is create expensive shitholes.

I love that area, but it’s farther away from our kids and grandkids
