Yet income taxes are way down.
Way down in the U.S.?
Or way down compared to other countries like France?

To keep US goods out of their economy.
You admit that other countries have tariffs to keep US goods out, but you still think we should let them all sell their subsidized goods here.
And this is the problem with the anti-tariff bros. You will let American companies die due to unfair trade practices while getting pissed at the one guy in DC who cares about protecting Americans.
You are willing to let Americans go unemployed while gleefully bolstering the economies of our adversaries. Play out that scenario and see where it leaves the country in a couple decades.
You rightfully complain about all the people on welfare but then support policies that put more people on welfare by restricting the markets of American companies. The low cost of goods is irrelevant when our citizens don't have the income to spend in the first place.
quote:
Tariffs don’t have the same outcome in the US vs internationally.
And now we've gone from tariffs are bad to tariffs are only bad for America.
Even worse than that, you people think we should let congress get involved in foreign policy and trade. Congress can't even fund the government because democrats want to give money to illegals, but sure, let's take away the president's power to swiftly respond to economic threats and wait around for those guys to accomplish something. That will do wonders for the country when China stops shipping a vital product.
You are placing global economic principles above the prosperity of the country. That's exactly what all the UN/WTO people want. They get the left with white guilt and the right with their emotional attachment to economic practices. Both sides are falling victim to their perceived moral superiority.

absolutely.
Which country has the best economy???? Do you want to be like shithole countries?
Let me tell you something Junior, if China is subsidizing your wealth, you are winning

American labor was never meant to compete with those on slave wages in the first place
We must restore manufacturing here, though it will likely be automated we need the goods produced here

I posed this theoretical a while back
If China is going to subsidize the shite out of things like photovoltaic panels we would be stupid to not buy them up at such a discount
Better than us subsidizing them

I hope so
I'm puzzled as how manufacturing and selling products is leaching off of anyone

Absolutely. It builds wealth here.
I dont think these baws realize we subsidize corporations too, we just never get the cheap prices we should expect.

Whats slave labor? Your definition.

We have more than enough mfg here. The jobs pay better and require more skill than basic rubber dog shite factories so baws need to step up and help themselves first and go back to school or learn skills.
Youre trying to save the crackheads and the meth heads. You will fail.

I can't believe you still think that. Did you even bother to attempt to get educated on the topic since our last discussion? Such as kafir?
quote:powerloser said democrats don't agree with the tarrifs.
You got an English version?
quote:You can childishly continue to call them whatever you want but that's not the question. The question is if they're beneficial and given the revenue that has poured in and the prospect of manufacturing repatriation, the answer is yes. The degree to which they've been beneficial at this early stage can certainly be debated but there is no question someone with a spine needed to address the trade situation and there's probably no person on the planet better suited to that task than Trump
it's just an additional tax
Posted on 11/3/25 at 12:03 pm to Aubie Spr96
I would have thought it would have been 18 million new illegals getting $5k/month in free subsidies, skyrocketing insurance premiums due to the Obamacare failure and Biden killing 100,00's of chickens and cows on the way out but maybe it's Tariffs, who knows.

He was just shrugged his shoulders and said the other countries shouldn't tarrif us either lol

Sure. Covid shutdowns and massive debt pushed into the economy. Do you know who the president was?

Why not just stick with the status quo where we can buy cheap shite at the store right now?
If you want those jobs back here, why? If you say you want good-paying manufacturing jobs, you're starting to sound like a union boss.
