Dude, do you NOT understand that there is only a certain quantity of soybeans produced world wide each year? Why can you NOT understand that if China buys from South America (which does not produce enough in a year for China alone) that the REST OF THE WORLD is going to have to buy U.S. Soybeans....
The entire difference between the U.S. and China is China is putting tariffs on food stuffs and natural resources while we are putting them on products... There is only so much food stuffs and natural resources available EACH YEAR...
Like I said, idiot.

Trump's tariffs Force last major US assembler of TVs to shut down
That factory was for assembly of TVs using imported parts. No TV parts have been made in the USA in some years. There are also two other assembly plants elsewhere in the country, but they were smaller.
I would have put major in quotes since the jobs lost are fewer than 200. Though the pain they suffer is major.

WTF? So there are other plants still assembling TVs in the country? What do they employ 175?
You frickers grasp at so many damn straws it is just pathetic...

Y'all need to shut the frick about IB Freeman about being a resistance clown and Never Trumper.
He has more intelligence and knowledge about policy in his hand than you have in your entire brain.
No one doubts that he is knowledgeable. The problem is that he spams the board, believes he is above actually articulating arguments with those he believes arent knowledgeable and lobs insults at those who call him out.
He clearly is a nevertrumper. He leads almost every thread with "you trumpkins"

Or maybe his complaints are legitimate and everyone else is stupid?
I am going with this.

Mr. Dude to you.
I understand completely.
Those declaring that China might have to buy some US soybeans a victory for Trump do not understand this.
It is simple--no Chinese processor of soybeans will buy tariffed US soybeans so long as they are more expensive to them. Somebody else will but the premise that this is some win is just wrong.

perhaps you can give us a scoreboard on the insults hurled at IB and those coming at IB.
While you are at it how about counting the number of substantive post you have made on the the subject of tariffs compared to IB. I am trying my best to ignore post from those I believe aren't knowledgeable but folks like you make it hard.
I will try harder.

Wait, so you are admitting that U.S. soybeans will be bought by someone else? Then what in the frick are you complaining about and exactly who gets hurt? The answer is NO ONE.

If the one trick is smaller government and individual freedom and anti corruption I suppose you are right Zach.

Arkadelphia's troubles run deeper than tariffs. Quite literally the town has no support to get new business in from the older generation. The churches bought all the towns liquor licenses went the county went west. The town also denies nearly every attempt to modernize the roads in and out.
They have 2 universities and are stuck exactly between major population centers 1.5 hours by interstate on either north or south and shoot down any measure that would allow graduates to be able to use their degrees locally.

Breaking news
Arkansas people thank President Trump for saving them from the stench of another pulp mill. Would rather commute to work at American owned mill in the next town over.
Glad their clothes, cars and homes are saved from the toxic stench.

I have never said otherwise.
I simply discuss soybeans because some of the simpletons here think the fact that some soybeans may be sold to China in spite of the Chinese tariffs is some kind of win.
Surely nobody is so dumb to think the Chinese will buy higher priced US soybeans just because.
It seems soybeans will be in tight supply from South American markets due to drought and the Chinese processor may end up having to pay the tariff on some US beans when they run out of South America sources.

LMAO and in any other world BUT yours, that is considered a WIN... Maybe its just you don't know what winning looks like?

I am all of these and always have been. Because I am calling out your boy on his misguided policy is completely consistent with my beliefs in smaller government, individual freedom and ending corruption.
BTW Big government is inherently corrupt and EVERYBODY most particularly Trumpkins should be outraged at Wilbur Ross's obvious protections of US Steel and Nucor in the exclusion hearings. No company yet that has asked for an exclusion that either of those companies objected too has gotten a tariff exclusion. That is out and out government corruption.

Explain that to me. How is that a win??
The largest soybean market in the world buys a vast majority of their soybeans from somebody else and only buys from you when the other suppliers are out of inventory is a win???
