Target Lays off ~1k Employees @ Corporate Today

I remember reading an investor profile of Target that pretty definitively said they were headed the way of Sears and Bed Bath and Beyond.

Amazon's profits are growing. They are streamlining and most likely using AI to shite-can humans.
Target's profits are struggling and they are floundering after spending years pandering to the left. They lots many conservative shoppers. Then in an attempt to right the ship and with a finger in the wind, correctly shite-canned their DEI efforts. That alienated the left.
Lesson: Your business is mostly putting toilet paper on the shelf and pricing it reasonably. Keep out of politics.

This. But that’s not good enough for women. They want their emotional fefes catered to along with their pack of cheap toilet paper. And there’s a LOT of women in the corporate ranks at Target. So frick around they did and finding out they are.

The majority Amazon’s profits come from AWS. Their consumer storefront is just better than anyone else right now. You can create a product to rival the latter, good luck creating a competitor to AWS
