I wonder how many American citizens were assaulting, threatening, or harassing federal agents prior to their arrest.

Are you claiming that ICE agents aren't harassing people who appear to be Latino in Kenner?

Well - "Bill Clinton" what is the definition of harassment?

The Supreme Court said they can make a stop and verify citizenship

For us born here it is a very simple process - show your drivers license - they run it and confirm when you were issued your SSN and citizenship status and you are off and running

If you have actual legal status ( not someone who came here 20 yrs ago, applied for asylum and never had a hearing) I would carry that legal status paperwork- a copy and you will be good to go.

Small price to pay for 100 million illegal criminals running around

When the cops tell you to get out, get your arse out. Show your ID and go on with your day.

The same shite happened to two of my workers. Both drove away with no problems.

Sorry I missed this response previously. Is there something specific to Kenner that you want to raise?

I wouldn’t know. I don’t frequent Kenner so I don’t know the situation there either.

Cubbies, you make MANY unfounded assumptions in your assessment "that people who cannot relate to her at all are smugly dismissing her."

First for example, you presumably were not aware, when posting your very dismissive quip, that I have in-laws with the identical legal status you describe. You did not know that, did you?

You have in laws with legal citizenship/resodency status? That’s great but how is that relevant?

quote:

Second, you are not aware of conversations I've had with those in-laws, identical to the conversation I suggested you have with your housekeeper. You did not know that, did you?

I’m not aware of any conversations you have with your relatives.

Skyscreaming does not get it.

You are prescribing a tone to my post that isn’t there. Sky screaming because I said that my housekeeper texted me? I mean… there was no emotion behind what I posted. I merely shared information. I don’t think I even used an exclamation point.

Amazing how the ones whose employees are cowering in fear all tend to be of a certain ideological slant

I haven’t spoken actual words using my vocal cords to anyone about this IRL. I know I’m in the minority here but I don’t believe everything posted on social media so as of now she is the only real person I know of who is doing this.

I’m glad your staff is showing up to take care of your kids and clean your house though.

She comes on Fridays. She didn’t come last Friday and I’m assuming won’t be coming this week. So yes, I paid her for not cleaning my house. She does so much for us that I don’t mind. I find that everything I give away always comes back to me.

It's your money, It just wasn't clear if you were paying her for not working or you gave her a lump of cash as a donation.

Don’t use indentured servants or slave laborers to avoid the minimum wage. Hire Americans and there won’t be any problems with ICE.

I view it as PTO. She’s been with us for 6 years and this is the second time I’ve paid her for not working. First time was after Hurricane Ida.

While doing that, they claim they don't support illegal immigration, sure they voted for Obama and Biden but they believe in borders, even though they've never expressed it in any meaningful way.

I don’t think I’ve ever posted much about borders other than to say borders are man-made aka pretend. If I had to make a list of the 50 most pressing issues that the government should address, I doubt immigration or the borders would be on my list.

I don’t care if other people want to die on this hill. If this is your pet issue, you have my blessing.

We have 3 kids and one is a baby. It’s impossible to stay on top of all the housework here. I want her to move in with us I’ll get a second job to pay for her.

The 19 hijackers of the September 11 attacks entered the United States legally by obtaining temporary, nonimmigrant visas, primarily tourist and student visas. Their entry was facilitated by a combination of exploiting weaknesses in the U.S. immigration system at the time and a failure of intelligence sharing among government agencies.

You’re using people who entered the country legally to convince me that illegal immigration is an important issue?
