Basra, Iraq is roughly 800 km away from the strait.

I know in Saudi the shia are basically invisible. They are not allowed to have mosques. 10% of Saudi is Shia but they are treated like enemy really. Being Shia in those countries is like wearing a huge target on yourself.

I can’t remember what the main disagreement is between the two. It has something to do with the way they see the world ending or something. They legitimately hate each other though. Killing Americans and Jews is the only thing they really agree on lol.

If you know the answer to this question then answer it for me. Is the Houthies Shia or Sunni?

You are correct sir

And now we just have to pray that Pakistan or China does not give nukes to Iran, and others like Turkey and Lebanon that Netanyahu and
Bennet have been running their mouths at

because Iran is pissed and all indications are they're not backing down. They're willing to give us the finger and ride it out slowly.

AFAIK it's something like that, but the easiest description is that the Shia are like the Catholics (idols and reverance of holy figures thought the life of the Sunnah) and Sunni are more like Protestants (seeing those things as idoletrous and being more hardline in-terms of forgiveness here on Earth). The Shia do believe that the 12th Imam (descendants from the original church, apostles if you will) will bring about the end times in a great war with the West, hence the "death to America, death to Israel". But if we never were involved, they would most likely kill each other or the Shia would be wiped out completely.

There are a bunch of theological differences but the core of it goes back to when the Sunnis killed Mohammed's grandson and installed their own caliph. The Shia have never gotten over it.

Good grief that could get complicated lol. Yeah they would wipe each other out if not for us and Israel. Look at the Taliban and the Paks. The Taliban probably have a thrill running up their legs now that they have someone else to fight with. If not for Lindsey Graham the Taliban would probably be the happiest people on earth right now lol.

I knew Hezbollah was Shia. I really don’t know much about the Houthies.

Do you realize the thousands of Iranian citizens that will be murdered or imprisoned if we leave any of the old regime in power. We have to end them once and for all this time not leave and let them grow just so we have to bomb again.

You are preaching to the choir here. I’m just saying a lot of these military experts have used that term a lot. They look at it like our objectives are met. It’s up to the people of Iran to change the regime. If they succeed then we should see better days. If they fail though it will be like mowing the lawn.

This point, dipshit. It was the very next sentence after the words you yourself repeated "Catholics and Protestants"

both sides killed millions, either directly or via starvation/wrecking their towns
but sure, they didn't attack each other's "tankers" bc "christianity"

You do understand that Catholic was the only game in town? Then the Lutherans walked away, and the Catholics warred over it. The war was settled. The Lutherans won the right to exist as Christians. They aint ever fighting each other again

Iran didnt get the message that the Sunnis arent going away in Islamic culture. Now they have no fellow believers to turn to
