Unfortunately the most likely plan is to have the Blackhawks from the 160th fly CAS and provide cover for the last flights departure and then make their own way to safety. The 160th blawkhawks are the only ones that regularly practice air to air refueling.
It will mean extreme risk for the Nightstalkers and at least 2-3 air to air refuelings but for them just another day at the office.
For their families a lot of holding of their breath.

Well, the French are "watching them closely". They have placed multiple Afghans who are suspected Taliban "under surveillance".
We've also seen at least one report of a person who was a suspected ISIS-K member who was detained at the Kabul airport. He had paperwork and was trying to blend in as an Afghan seeking evacuation.

The most disturbing thing I have heard so far about this entire fiasco was the US State Department sent an email out and told all of its employees to work from home (for COVID reasons) while simultaneously they quietly began evacuating senior state department officials in Afghanistan thus stranding US and Afghan employees outside of the Embassy and knowingly behind enemy lines.
This is the most chicken shite thing I think I've ever seen a government agency do. This is not an understatement because in doing so they sent a message to all of their staff that everything was okay so they could get out first and then hung everyone else out to dry.
The media and GOP politicians should be banging drums on this.

Oh that’s been over…. IF they wanted to get AMERICANS out they should have bombed that palace the minute that pic was shown….. now???? There could be thousands of Americans dead, we don’t have a clue.
