What is the current inflation rate? What is the 50 year average?

Hint: the former is the lower number.

Peter and Judas didn't believe Jesus

Peter in Matthew 16 said “ , “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

Jesus said to Peter in John 21 , “Feed my sheep“

Jesus said to the 12 in John 13 in reference to Judas , Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.” For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean.

The Apostle John in 1John 2 spoke of Judas and those who pose like him today in the church. “ They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us”.

Ok.....let me try to break this down so you can understand. Ok so the 50 year average is 3.6%. At the end of Biden's term inflation was 3.0%. The current inflation is 3.4%. So we are about to hit the 50 year average and Trump isn't even dealing with post pandemic problems. High oil prices are causing inflation to rise.

So you pick the lowest point inflation ever was under the Biden administration, which was at the very end and compare it to the highest point in the Trump administration? The average inflation rate under Biden was roughly 5%. The average rate so far under Trump is roughly 3% and it is singularly associated with the war in Iran meaning it will significantly reduce when the war ends. Biden administration inflation was monetary policy related to overspending.

Well Biden’s inflation was due to the effects of Covid. What’s your point? Biden couldn’t affect Covid. Trump started a war.

Bro this is going to probably make you angry but you don’t know what you are talking about. There is no reference to “Judas” in 1 John at all. “Judas” was a made up character as part of an allegorical fictional story not to be taken literally of the preexistent deity Yahweh, one of God’s sons (Deut 32:8-9), who christians at the time believed was given a body of flesh and then killed in the heavens. Some like Paul believed the other gods of heaven killed him. The author of Hebrews believed he was sacrificed in the heavenly temple. He earned his name “Jesus” only after his death,

The part you quoted of 1 John is the author talking about those Christians who supported the earlier beliefs id the celestial Jesus, and that they “went out from us” but in reality the sect that 1 John author belonged to began to believe the allegorical fan fiction was actually historical, and they began to insist Jesus has come down from heaven and was killed by Roman soldiers. Those other Christians - the ones the author calls the “spirit of the antichrists” denied Jesus had come to earth in the flesh. Those Christians must’ve been like “dude that’s a fricking make believe story, the real Jesus died in heaven and will one day come to earth to judge the living and the dead… he didn’t come to earth already - that’s just fricking retarded.”

Read 1 John and 2 John very carefully. Determine what the authors claim about the antichrists - yes plural antichrists - not just one.

Once you understand the factions of Christians who rejected the gospels as fables, then you can go back and read the “seven genuine letters” of Paul and then Hebrews and Revelation and Jude and 1 Peter and get a glimpse of what the first Christians believed about Jesus before the first gospel of Jesus was written about a fictional Jesus on earth. Then you can start to understand epistles like 1 John and 2 John and 2 Peter and the gospels of Luke and John “we really saw him and he really did die on earth bruh and he really ate fish and we really poked his wounds and he wasn’t made of spirit but was raised in the flesh I promise bruh!”

Look at 1 Cor 15:
quote:

42So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. 43It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. 44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual (pneumatikon) body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit (pneuma).

Paul says Jesus became pneuma. Spirit. Not raised in perishable human flesh, but raised in imperishable spirit.

Now let’s look at Luke 24:
quote:

36As they were talking about these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, “Peace to you!” 37But they were startled and frightened and thought they saw a spirit (pneuma). 38And he said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? 39See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.” 40And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. 41And while they still disbelieved for joy and were marveling, he said to them, “Have you anything here to eat?” 42They gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43and he took it and ate before them.

So the author of “Luke” flatly contradicts Paul. In Luke, Jesus is raised in a flesh and blood and bone body and says he isn’t made of spirit (pneuma) and even has a bite of some fish to prove he is a real human still.

Some Christians rejected these fan fiction narratives and followed the earlier beliefs of a celestial Jesus made of spirit as Paul believed, and it took those Christians about 4 centuries to die out under the might of the Catholic Church and the Roman legions.

The author of 1 John was from a sect of Christians that was duped into believing the fan fiction narratives of the Jesus on earth was a historical account and it was this sect that actually broke from the earlier Christian sects.

christian mythology.
Does Not Exist

Buddy, even if the ones in your Bible are purely accurate and historical (they aren’t, because they’re fan fiction mythology), then you still have all of these Christian myths that you and your church rejects as mythology:

Gospel of Thomas
Gospel of Peter
Gospel of Mary
Gospel of Judas
Gospel of Philip
Gospel of Truth
Gospel of the Egyptians
Gospel of the Hebrews
Gospel of the Ebionites
Gospel of the Nazarenes
Gospel of the Infancy of Thomas
Protoevangelium of James (Gospel of James)
Gospel of Nicodemus (Acts of Pilate)
Gospel of the Savior
Gospel of the Hebrews
Gospel of the Nazarenes
Gospel of the Egyptians
Gospel of Basilides
Gospel of Marcion
Gospel of the Twelve
Gospel of Matthias
Gospel of Eve
Gospel of Perfection
Gospel of the Four Heavenly Regions
Gospel of Barnabas
Arabic Gospel of the Infancy of the Savior
Armenian Gospel of the Infancy
Gospel of Bartholomew
Gospel of Peter
Gospel of Gamaliel

These are all gospels of the Lord Jesus Christ that are rejected by most or all Christian sects today. By definition they are Christian mythology, and we have copies or partial copies of most of them. You can buy them on Amazon.

And those are just other gospels. What about other Christian myths that aren’t gospels?

The Nature of the Rulers (The Hypostasis of the Archons)

The Apocryphon of James (Secret Book of James)

Great post. Because of the various reformations, I'd guess few are aware that Christianity was a word of mouth movement within Judaism. And that it took centuries to develop its own identity. And that really didn't take off till conversion of Constantine and the adoption of it as the faith of the roman empire. The time between Jesus crucifixion and Constantine was nearly 300 years.

And from there it began to reflect / incorporate many Roman pagan practices still part of Catholicism today.

Radical reformation denominations, going further than Luther by rejecting Catholicism, priestly intercession and sacraments, have lost alot of the important faith history such as how the books were chosen, how the faith evolved etc.

And now evolving into sort of a belief in God that loves america, and sees the country as his instrument. Its historical for certain thought not a good thing

Wrong, even though John was warning about gnostics who believed they had a special super understanding of Christ, the statement is true. Judas was a poser, just like Talarico, and he has come out of Christianity as a demonstrator of a false gospel. Yes Judas and today’s posers are anti-Christs. Judas came came out from among them.

No he doesn’t, you are out of context. Look at the Transfiguration in scripture. He walked the earth for 40 days after the grave but the Christ after the ascension is as He is now.

I’ll give you that one, my intent was , it’s not true.

It was completely necessary.

Why are we in the war with Iran? Don't say nuclear program because that is false.

Well just so we’re clear, I think you’re wrong. There is no mention of Judas in 1 John or 2 John. The author(s) are specifically stating the antichrists are other Christians with competing views - that believed Jesus did not come to earth in the flesh. Even though in the fictional gospel accounts Judas betrayed Jesus, Judas never denied that Jesus was a flesh and blood person on earth. So you are in fact taking the Johannine epistles out of context and simply making stuff up that isn’t remotely in evidence.

He clearly does, and I quoted the passages for you. You are in denial. Paul clearly states the risen Jesus was made of pnuema. Luke clearly states emphatically that the risen Jesus was NOT made of pneuma and even had to eat some food.

The 40 day walking the earth story is not in Luke. You are confusing scriptures or perhaps you are presupposing that the author of Acts also wrote Luke, which although it is a Christian tradition, critical scholarship does not presuppose that they are the same author. Besides, the 40 day appearance is irrelevant. Paul says the risen Jesus was pneuma, and Luke says the risen Jesus was NOT pneuma.
