Can Polymarket be gamed? Could a campaign seeking momentum feed Polymarket bets to show they are doing better than reality? This would be the same as paying for ads and campaign material so they would not be concerned about the loss of those funds because it would be seen as a calculated expense.

Sounds like to me you are creating a lot of excuses to justify your vote disguised as “legitimate” reasons. I would think being a border state would make immigration THE issue over temporary gas prices and the war with Iran which are small matters compared to permanent population increases, and all that comes with it like increased crime, localized higher inflation due to increased artificial demand, loss of culture, but above all a permanent reliable Democrat voting base. But again, you do you I am just an interested bystander who has seen this exact scenario play out in the state of Georgia in the Senate. Republican voters in Georgia thought the same thing, “just a one off election mistake that the Republican Party of Georgia will fix next election cycle!”. There is a real chance this governor election goes to the Democrats in Georgia, if that happens Georgia will become Virginia. Here’s the real problem for Texas, Georgia isn’t a border state and you can escape the liberalism of Atlanta. Southern and Central Texas will be overrun and it will spill into Eastern Texas. I mean I hate to see a once great state do that to themselves but you can see the Texas voters on here already beginning to bargain with themselves: “hopefully he will be a moderate and the Texas GOP learns it’s lesson”.

Such a proponent of the humble and respectful exchange of “predictions” and “opinions,” eh fella? Your offerings there, for example, it has mature, open-minded debate partner written all over it.

Do you not bother to take into account things you’ve previously said on a topic before you say anything further, at least for the one single, same day? To make sure you’re not self-owning with each post??

blah blah blah

Not every voter agrees that the issues that you think are important are

those issues may not be important to them

And not as if it matters because I've said this before
I agree with the immigration lockdown

the border should be closed decades ago
I agree with Trump and the ICE work I agree with Abbott bussing people up to Massachusetts
but not everybody agrees; that's democracy
And when it's a majority of the voters that don't like it
you lose elections sorry to break it to you but the majority of voters in Texas no longer think immigration is the most important issue

It's an important issue but it's not big enough to decide the outcome of the election. In '24, it was ; in '26, it is not

As I said, good luck! You not voting is a vote for Talerico. I am sure California, Arizona, and New Mexico Republicans had this same conversation with themselves during the last 20-30 years but hey it won’t happen to Texas!! Bold strategy, it didn’t work out for the other border states but I am sure Texas will be different!! Fun trivia question, which other border states have remained conservative after allowing Democrats to take over? Michigan, Maine, Minnesota, Washington, North Dakota, Vermont, California, Arizona, New Mexico have all been permanently lost with the exception of an election here or there. The only states with a large border that have remained semi conservative are Montana (it’s drifting to the Left) and Texas. I can’t imagine why that is the trend, probably won’t happen to Texas though, amirite?
