Nah..... How could that happen without either shots being fired or showing some love to the Taliban????
Not gonna happen. frick that place.
We had our shot. Didn't work out.
It's now none of our business.

So you don't think Trump gave Bagram away?

I see a lot of people accusing me of not knowing something, but no one is saying what that is, or how it relates to the incorrect statement in the OP implying that it wasn't Trump that gave away Bagram.

I'm not trying to make any greater point that we should have nor shouldn't have, just that Trump is responsible. It seems really odd that he would sign it away and then want it back.

The Chinese now have a military facility at Bagram and it is one of the most defensible military positions in the world.

Not sure how you get them out.

I think we should recall our equipment with some guided missiles bombs and drone strikes.

Trump absolutely had plans for withdrawal. The Biden admin and the military totally fricked them up and got Americans killed, and literally handed the base over not to Afghans, but to the Taliban.

Along with all of our equipment.

Wow, people just downvoting the actual peace deal that Trump negotiated with the Taliban just because they don't want to believe it. lol

That doesn’t say anything about giving up Bagram before getting people out.

I also want to note I didn’t see or hear the exchange the op is referencing. So we are just relying on a game of telephone.

Talk about clueless. It wasn't a "plan" it was a TREATY with the TALIBAN that TRUMP SIGNED that literally made all our base belong to them. The only change Biden made was to delay for a few months. But the treaty was already binding when Biden took office.

You didn't read the document that I linked, did you?

Further reminder of just how fricking stupid Joe was to push for that 9-11 pull out date.

Neither did the OP to which I was responding:
quote:

Lawrence Jones from Fox News just asked President Trump if we were going to take Bagram back. He didn’t say yes or no, but it sounds like it just doesn’t set well with him that we gave it up so easily after so many American lives were lost in the shite hole country. Especially since it’s only an hour away from China’s largest nuclear weapons plant. I’m betting we take it back and a shot won’t be fired by doing so. What say y’all?

The OP implied that Trump may regret "we" giving up Bagram, when Trump himself gave it up when he signed the peace treaty with the Taliban.

To be clear, I give both Trump and Biden credit for getting us out of Afghanistan when Bush nor Obama would.

Your link doesn't say what you are saying though.

quote:

A comprehensive peace agreement is made of four parts: 1. Guarantees and enforcement mechanisms that will prevent the use of the soil of Afghanistan by any group or individual against the security of the United States and its allies.

They didn’t hold up the first line of the agreement.

Yes it does - in spite of your lame attempts to invalidate the agreement. I've already cited the relevant text. US soil has not been attacked by anyone harbored by the Taliban like on 9/11/01.

The issue with our defense budget and comparing it to others is that its not a apples to apples comparison. Purchasing power parity plays a large role in defense budget - we pay our troops much more than any of those countries, and our costs are further inflated from a dumbfrick procurement process. They also do not pay their military contractors as much... How much do you think North Korea pays their factory works to make artillery shells

As to taking the Caribbean... Why stop there? Its the United States of America. America should include North and South America

Horrible idea. But good to float it so they're jumpy.
