Susan Collins will probably lose re-election in 2020.

The Kav vote will cost her. This midterm, a Democrat won the statewide race for Governor, and Dims now control all the Congressional House seats in the state and their leftist Independent Senator just won re-election by a 20% margin.

Republicans face a bad Senate map in 2020. They’ll pick up Alabama, but could lose states elsewhere.

This Mississippi Senate runoff is important.

She's still stupidly popular in Maine, though.

Ohio has all statewide republican offices, both chambers by veto proof margins, and still just elected a Democrat US Senator.

Brown is a Reagan Democrat essentially.

Does not compute with this...

We will see. Her approval rating in Maine is at 35% after the Kav vote.

He voted against Kavanaugh. It's essentially the reverse of Collins.

No Brown isn't. He voted against all judicial nominees. He didn't even pretend to be considering like McCaskill, Manchin, Donnelly and Heitkamp.
He will lend his lukewarm support on trade deals because that's his wheelhouse, unions. But on social issues and judicial nominees, there is no difference between him and the coastal Dems.

Does that mean you would consider voting for him?

He knew they didn't need his vote. That way he can still suck up to ideological Dims and get campaign cash. He's smart.

How is that any different than Collins?

You can't compare them...

Sherrod Brown can talk to regular people and appeals to a large crowd. Collins is a sitting senator in a state that just overwhelming voted Dim, her approval is 35%, and she has a nose like a dog's...

Kavanaugh will be long forgotten by 2020. She'll be defending her Barrett vote in 2020.

Oh OK. So pretty much the same, and throw in a #waronwomen comment for good measure.

Way too early to tell. I think her Maine constituents like her and shes one of the more honest and genuine senators out there.
