Hell, I'd just be content if the D and R were removed from the ballots, i.e., do your homework or good luck with that crapshoot of a vote when you pull that lever.

I wouldn't even make it that hard.

My test would consist of just 3 simple questions:

1) Name the 3 branches of government
2) Name the current Vice President
3) Are Presidential elections decided by a popular vote or electoral college?

All? No.

Majority? Yes.

Vast majority? Probably.

If anyone had any sort of decent understanding of the US Constitution, its history (i.e,, the actual history of its creation and ratification [NOT the development of interpretive caselaw since the Marshall Court {which is how it is taught in law schools today}]), as well as US History from the 1750s through 1790s, then 1820s through 1870s) they would be positively horrified at the current government.

Reasonable minds can disagree. Do you think Ruth Bader Ginsburg has a poor understanding of those things? I'm gonna go out on a limb that she understands them all quite a bit better than you.

Demonizing the other side is a tool for weak minds.

I think she fully understands them. I think she consciously ignores them because of her political persuasion.

Please explain to my how I have done that with my statement.

This is honestly higher than I expected.

It aggravates me to see ignorant people talk about politics and how they voted as well, but come on. They have every right to have a say so in picking our leaders as you or I do.

Nobody is forcing these people into vans. They are doing so willingly. Regardless, my point is the same. They have the right to vote and other people have the right to provide transportation to them to vote. That's freedom and democracy at work.

Everyone has an agenda in politics. Stop being upset that poor people get to vote and that they vote different from you.

Pure straw man. At least talk about what I'm obviously talking about.

Why don't you come out and actually say how you feel so we can have a legit discussion?

You go get a poor, uneducated person. Give him a sandwich and a free ride and say, "Hey, don't forget to vote for my guy!"

It's pretty shady. Not really how democracy should work.

And one party does it on a large, organized scale.

So those poor, uneducated people are getting the free ride and free sandwich no matter who they end up voting for? Got it. Totally shady.

Again, that's democracy. If you want to go pick up voters on election day, you have every right to do it as well.

Probably not, actually. You only see these efforts in Democrat blocs.

Yes because a higher percentage of poor people typically vote democrat. That doesn't mean those people who get picked up are being forced to vote a certain way tho.

What are you talking about then? The private political parties do most of the get out the vote campaigns.
