The brackets while better are still very high. Might give dems too much ammo for midterms or 2028. Would you expect this to be circled back on if gop increases majorities and vance wins in 28? I mean how is 37% reasonable for anyone?

Gotta cut spending first or else we'll print to cover the expanding deficit and cause more inflation like after 2020

Number one priority is to pass the SAVE America Act.

I agree. Spending has to be addressed. DC knows how to deficit spend regardless of income.

63% of merican's pay no income tax boy how much more do you want them lowered? the top bracket is 37% you don't hit that bracket until you hit 751k married filing joint. no little man we need to reintroduce the concept of paying income tax to the middle class they no longer have skin i the game.
better idea if you don't pay income tax you don't get to vote! do you like apples, how bout them apples?

He needs that tax revenue to refill the Strategic Oil Reserve and the MIC wants their $40 billion to re-stock all those weapons we used destroying that fishing fleet that we refer to as the Iranian Navy.

You seem very emotional this morning. Glad you enjoy giving our wonderfful government 1/4 to 1/3 of your income. Maybe youre in the 63% though.

What the frick has republicans done, ever, to make you believe something like that could pass congress?

Trump’s BBB increased spending. Tariffs were done illegally and now we have an increased deficit because he tried to use a shortcut instead of getting a congress he controls to pas a law. Money keeps getting spent on things like walls, ballrooms, TSA bonuses, etc that we were told tax payer dollars would not be spend on. Now we gotta contribute towards a $300B payment.
How/why in the hell do you think he would lower taxes?! Are you living under a rock or something?

i don't have choice, boy but i like this tax scheme a lot better than the the 70% top bracket when i graduated college,or the 57% that i paid in 1984 the first full year i was a stock broker. let me reiterate 63% of american's pay no income tax that has never been that low in my 65 years on planet earth in the new nited states of merica in such.
before you were born reagan did two things in 1981 he lowered the top bracket to 50% from 70% and he indexed the brackets to inflation. the later was far more impactful thanks to the bush tax cuts and the trump tax cuts and reagan indexing the brackets to inflation every year millions of people fall off the tax rolls.
i used to not care about that. the fact the top 10% of wage earners pay 70% of all income taxes and the top 1% pay 40% of all income taxes i'm thinking our tax base is too narrow. especially since you people still believe your pulling the cart when you're actually riding in the cart.

Lowered taxes.

They will never lower spending ever. If Trump couldn't get it done with Doge, it will just never ever happen.

I agree the tax burden is too high but I also feel strongly the government is spending far too much money. It has even been said by the only trillionaire in the world that if America gets rid of the fraud in government programs, there is no deficit spending.

Dont know why you call me boy. Im no boy and I was an adult when Reagan was in office. You come off as a dickk. Glad youre happy with the current system and glad you let us know you were a stockbroker.
