Supreme Court stays Louisiana District Court Redistricting

So goes it. The Supreme Court blocked Judge Dick’s efforts to rewrite the maps to add another minority district.
The case is held until next term of the Court.
The effect is that we won’t have any changes in legislative maps anytime soon, and even if the case goes south for Louisiana, November 2023 elections at the earliest.

The court system is just as broken as Congress. Thank God we own the top court because everything beneath it is liberal partisan bullshite. Including the 3 mental midget lefties on the Supreme Court

the pathetic thing is if this was republican gerrymandering and it went to SCOTUS the decision would be 9-0.
because the conservative judges are actually following the rule of law and the temper-tantrum-throwers just want their way and don't give a crap.
just like when it was what...94-6 to confirm sotaameyer.

So, this means that the original map stays, Judge Dick's mandate to force a 2nd M/M district is thrown out. Correct?

That's what I thought, but wanted to make sure.

Let’s pray the USSC “right” doesn’t retire or get Clintoned anytime soon.

That’s some big districts.
Out of curiosity — how many blacks have run in the past? Changing districts won’t necessarily make black people want to run.

They don't care about black people running....they care about more Democrats in Congress.
