What if an alien from another planet impregnates a female in the U.S.? Then the true illegal alien would automatically be a U. S. citizen.

Actually, you might be on to something here. Let's institute the draft, just for anchor babies, and send them to finish this thing in Iran.

Or if they haven’t signed up for selective service prosecute, renounce citizenship and leave or face 3 years jail time(I think this is the penalty)

A related detail:
U.S. citizens have to pay income and gift and inheritance taxes no matter where they live on planet Earth.

Internal Revenue Service Website

Maybe this detail is one of the reasons political leadership seems disinterested in limiting birthright citizenship.

I could be wrong. I’m wrong a lot, lol.

This is basically where I was going when started the thread. Force them to pick and take away citizenship if they won’t serve.

If an alien from another planet landed in the US and gave birth to a little baby alien then the little baby alien would then be a US citizen and the mommy and daddy alien or whoever they do it would have legal status to live in the US and become citizen too.

One of the main problems with the Constitution and its amendments is that it is drafted by people who liked to look smart. Too many provisions are drafted in riddles without plain speaking. For instance, the Second Amendment should simply read- Adult Americans have the right to bear arms without restriction by the government.

The problem was that Congress didn’t want to give citizenship to foreigners or Indians (feather kind). So they got too cute in crafting that.

This applies to legal permanent residents, undocumented immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers, and agricultural workers.

Such a joke that we call them “undocumented” but yet they are somehow registered with selective service. Our immigration laws are a freaking joke. The true purpose of the left’s obsession with open borders couldn’t be more obvious.

A common problem. They could have just plainly drafted it to apply to former slaves and people who have at least one parent who is a citizen. Or that anyone born on US soil is a citizen. But no, they throw in another riddle- "and subject to the jurisdiction"
