I agree that the thought of backing police being political is ridiculous, but the flag and slogan came up in response to the attached by BLM etc. I think the rules were meant to prevent this sort of shite show and of course the reactions from the trash make you want to strangle them, but I do think this is correct on making him remove.

Because if you had an IQ of 85 or higher you could probably figure out how full of shite BLM is.

One of the rules was no political statements, signs, or slogans.

Sad that in the year 2020 supporting police officers is political.

Didn't see that part. Did the school allow Black Lives Matter type statements and disallow this student's choice? Seems to be something missing here in the story. If all political statements banned no problem. If the school system caved in just to appease the mob that's a big problem.

I may check that out to see if there are any other "controversial" spots.

My list of suggestions to get pre-approved by the administration would run the gamut from the US, Louisiana, and Alexandria flags on one end to all branches of the military in the middle to explicitly political flags like the Nazi, Communist, ANTIFA, BLM, and Black Power flags on the far end.

Make them explain where the Blue Line falls on that spectrum and why.

But unfortunately they won't. They will worry about the "feelings" of the mentally challenged.

What guidelines were disseminated to the students prior to the start of the school year?

Is decorating your parking spot a new thing in accordance with the street painting movement?

If it has been allowed in the past what as acceptable and what was rejected?

Apparently there is no pre- decorating review by the officials.

Was the student who covered the police decoration disciplined for her actions? She had no authority to do that and should have addressed it administratively.

No, it has been around for the last few years. Pay for your spot and paint it.

I haven't heard of any others being rejected

Or they didn't have a problem with it. There are truly some mentally challenged kids that go to that school that are into their "feelings".

I seriously doubt anything was done to her. Again, too many "feelings" would be hurt if she did get disciplined.

If so hopefully the student and his parents will not accept this view point discrimination.

I dismt read through it to see - but if they allow BLM then they have opened up the forum to political speech.

These government entities are going to learn the hard way that it is better not to open these forums in the first place.
