You do understand that presence of cannabinoids in the bloodstream does not indicate present intoxication, right? Someone could have hit a bowl 5 days beforehand and it would still show up.

A new study finds young and middle-aged adults who use marijuana may have an increased risk for heart-related complications.

quote:

"This result is consistent with previous findings and strengthens the idea that cannabis may be responsible for serious complications, in particular on the cardiovascular system," write the authors in their study. "Cannabis may trigger cardiovascular complications and therefore should be regarded as so by health practitioners and by users, who often admit the dangers of drugs like cocaine and amphetamines but minimize that of cannabis."

Should all products that possibly cause heart-related complications be prohibited?

Thc half-life or the fact that they only test for metabolites is infinitely beyond op's scientific acumen.

Marijuana is the illicit drug most frequently found in the blood of drivers who have been involved in accidents, including fatal ones,”
So the most commonly used illicit drug, is the most commonly found drug? Imagine that. And as hemphead noted above, the presence of the drug does not mean it had any impact on the accident itself.

Furthermore, this was the question you attempted to answer with that post:
quote:

Have you ever heard of someone dying from a marijuana overdose?
So you said you have heard of someone dying from an OVERDOSE, but proceeded to provide information about traffic accidents.

Where is the evidence of this overdose?

If THC levels are high enough in your system, then you should not be behind a wheel driving.

Even more so, you should be placed in a high risk pool for insurance. I shouldn't have to pay for your choice for you to be a hisk risk for cancer, hearth problems and just plain crazy arse episodes.

To his credit, he has made no assertion to his opinion regarding the legal status of cannabis. He is just 'spreading' information.

Fair enough, but I would assume that was kind of the point of the thread. I guess it is possible I am wrong though.

Do you have anything that would indicate a significantly impacted level of ability in operating a motor vehicle while under cumulative THC levels?

Marijuana should not only be legal. It should be mandatory.

Decriminalizing would probably take care of that whole "paranoia" thing.

I mean, I like the cut of your gib, but I don't know. I haven't worried about legal ramifications in a loooong time and I still end up worrying myself stupid over random shite. Like becoming a stoned hypochondriac, mostly.

Well I feel worse that while living four years in Knoxville, which is pretty close to Asheville, I never made even one trip there, especially since it has so many breweries.
