Since Trump took office they have maxed the volume that can be added - the pipes are only so big 50,000 gallons a day.

The SPR is slowly replenishing, but Congressional approval is needed. Oil prices haven't been low enough to complete it. It was Biden that caused it in the first place.

This is the best answer without getting too specific. The country still needs to be supplied and whatever we export. Take from that too much and the price of gas skyrockets. It doesn't have to be filled in a day as long as it is getting there. Once it does, the price of gas may fall pretty good for awhile.
