Stormy Fail: Trump’s Evangelical Support Hits Record High

Evangelicals are very smart people....They can see right through the Dems and their devilish ways....The God Emperor is only getting stronger...
"A poll by the Public Religion Research Institute shows that support for President Trump among white evangelicals has hit a record high of 75 percent. Only 22 percent view the president unfavorably.
The Hill reports that the “president’s favorability with white evangelicals in the poll has steadily risen over time, with his previous high being at 74 percent in February 2017.”
At one point this year, though, that number sat at just 68 percent.
In this same poll, among the general public, Trump’s job approval number sits at 42 percent, a five point jump since January.
One key take away from this poll is the establishment media’s total failure to separate Trump from the evangelical vote. This goal is why the media is willing to make such hypocritical fools of themselves while obsessing over Trump’s sex life.
The very same media that ignored, downplayed, and defended Bill Clinton and John Edwards from sex scandals that occurred in the White House and on the campaign trail, are more than willing to look ridiculous frenzying over the possibility that Trump might have boinked some hotties in consensual relationships more than a dozen years ago.
The whole point of this coverage is to undermine Trump’s support with his core in the evangelical community, which only proves how provincial and out-of-touch the media are in believing such a thing would work.
What’s more, when you see the jump in support from 68 percent to 75 percent during the very same period the media decided to go 24/7 with Trump’s sex life, it is safe to say that this tactic has not only failed, it has backfired."

Evangelicals sold out a long time ago.

It's either Trump or some uniparty a-hole that would be fine with outlawing every religion except islam .
Trump was the clear cut choice.

That’s it. Evangelicals feel persecuted. Trump is their option.
I personally think they’ll deeply regret becoming politicized. I’d think that same thing if they were all in for the left.

I told anyone who would listen that Evangelicals see Trump as a King David figure. He’s a sinful man that has never the less been chosen by God for a mission because he is lion-hearted.

Meh. David and Solomon had their faults, too.

Now biblically, that’s bullshite. David was a godly man who stumbled and genuinely repented. That ain’t Trump.
You may be right about how he is seen. It just ain’t remotely biblical.

Sure. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory. But don’t try to sell me on Trump as a godly king.

That’s been the case each time the media has gone after him (i.e., he gains more support).
At some point you’d think his haters would step back and see that by trying to tear him down, they build him up.
It’s so wild, bc immediately following the election, the press did this whole self-reflection deal, where they realized and admitted that they overlooked and underestimated a large percentage of the country.
They admonished each other and said they’d have to change, else the same thing would happen again.
Whaddya know ....

This just shows how hypocritical evangelicals are.

David had a guy killed to cover up his affair.
Don’t minimize it. That’s not “stumbling”; that’s monstrous. He was an SOB. But he was God’s SOB.

Wrong. They are simply supporting a man of faith like TRUMP

No it shows they have sense like the Baptist pastor in Dallas said. We are not electing a priest or pastor or rabbi. We are electing a POTUS. they care about what he does in office for the country. Not false allegations and bs or what he did or did not do prior in his personal life. We are all sinners.

I think this was intended by the OP to be some sort of celebration thread regarding Trump??? Some of the worst rapers, pedophiles, and thieves in history are religious authority figures and frontmen. And they are also steeped heavily in conservatism, because that provides the convenient cloaks and shields that hide their actions and allow them to continue unfettered.
Not exactly a group of people that I would want to have backing me.....

This take is as deep as a birdbath.
Even moderate Christian voters saw the open and baffling hostility presented to them by the left.
Trump could’ve not even brought it up and still won them overwhemingly by, ya know, not mocking them.

Should they have voted for Hillary?
Or thrown their vote away on a third party?
