If you bitch about censorship, Parler etc. Stop using Amazon.
Buy shite from Walmart.com(lesser of two evils) or "gasp" buy from other retailers. Maybe even local stores.

Let me guess, you hate censorship. But, can't live without Prime?

Have never used it.

Also, don't buy crap from China that you don't really need. Instead of spending money on that huge TV, buy a bigger bad arse lawnmower that was built in the U.S., Do some home improvement, get a hobby and buy good tools, anything..just don't send your money to China.

I don't use Amazon or Walmart. The first step is to stop buying useless shite you don't need. You don't need a new iphone when yours is only a year or two old. I make less than some of my friends, yet they are always complaining about money while getting a package from amazon every other day. Find smaller retailers online with good ratings and stop being a consumerist. It's really not that hard.

I canceled Amazon. All last year I’ve made a concerted effort to shop locally and support local businesses in every way I can.

The rise of big box stores like Walmart, chains like Chili’s, and of course Amazon are responsible for more destruction and pain in America than anything else this century and maybe in history.

This, you can be a capitalist and not fall victim to consumerism. Also save a 1/3 of your money. Making money isn’t ever really the problem; if you can’t make money then you got other problems.

Way ahead of you. I've started making a list of dollars I've diverted away from Amazon. So far it's only about $500 but I'm just getting started.

Pretty impossible now a days because it’s all around us. Even if you wanted to, it’ll be nearly impossible. I went to buy baby bottles and couldn’t find one that isn’t China made. Then I went to pick up some garlic and saw the “product of China”. I put that down but asked myself “ why do we need garlic from China. We can’t grow our own?”

It’s all around us. You can be as patriotic as you want but Americans buy China goods and lots of it. It’s just the environment we’re in.

It’s the case of taking a short term win at the expense of a long term loss. Sure you may be getting convenience and a better price but what you are giving up long term?

You sacrifice your community and your labor pool and your upward mobility.

If you use Amazon, buy a bunch of items and return them all. You can put a dent in their bottom line at the end of the year.

If you cannot buy new made in the USA consider buying it used. Just did with a miter saw, barely used and a 1/4. the price of new. Agree on the consumerism, now if I could get the wife on board. Saving is not hard when you get your expenses in order. Food from China oh hell no.

In related news, I just heard about and signed up to MINDS. As a replacement to Parler.

I then see a notice from Minds co-creator that Google Play has issued a 'warning '

This is my last month with Amazon Prime.

If there’s something I need to order online, I’ll search for it, and if the search doesn’t produce a vendor other than Amazon (which is rare), I’ll go to the Amazon link and look for a supplier name there, and order directly from the supplier instead of Amazon if possible.

I guarantee on average I get 1 pkg. 4 days/wk. I have 15-20 items on subscribe/save-mostly toiletries, paper towels, tide, bounce, dawn, propel and a few other things. While I respect and understand giving up Amazon, I’m not there yet.
