There's another reason: Sometimes conspiracy theories are overblown in the sense that the government lied to us after the fact, which leads some people to conclude they orchestrated or faked the event.

The government didn't plan 9/11. But they did try to cover up Prince Bandar's involvement due to it being politically embarrassing.

Aurora really happened. MSNBC lied about it after the fact in an attempt to blame it to the Tea Party, but they didn't fake the event.

I can't say they ARE the same person but, there does appear to be some strange similarities with mass shooters and other people. That's all.

Look I'm not saying that there's never been a false flag. I'm not even saying that the government isn't capable of wanting to engage in such a false flag

Declassified from the 60s:

Operation Northwoods
Operation Bingo
Operation Dirty Trick

Look them up. Yes, the US govt absolutely has planned false flag attacks against Americans and American interests. These are just a few we know about from declas, and they were scrapped prior to implementation.

It takes a special kind of nutjob to believe in false flags.

But conspiracy theorists in general do it to feel more enlightened and smarter than you. The internet and social media have exacerbated the problem to put it lightly. There is shite you can read online about any topic or theory you want to support.

...and then there is reality.

I don’t believe the false flag narrative. But the FBI screwed the pooch in Vegas and Parkland shooter.

Vegas is still sketchy as shite

Parkland was a disaster that kid was referred and under the FBIs watch and it still occurred.

Also San Bernardino as well.

The Orlando shorter and his wife were equally sketchy. I think it’s more gross negligence by our government which is truly pathetic given all of the tools at their disposal.

The poster literally right above you said false flags don't even exist. It is important to remember that they absolutely do, and there is documented evidence that our own government has in fact planned them against its own citizens.

Thats not tinfoil, bro.

Or to salve anxiety that someone might not be in control. They need to believe things are following some sort of order, even if it's evil.

I don't understand how it's easier to believe the CIA did it than people are evil and we have a whole generation who grew up with violent video games but weren't exposed to the Bible or Christianity.

I can believe they're just degenerate, evil people before I can believe they were brainwashed into it.

That post was not there when I was typing. He's wrong about that, but it's is a fraction of what some on this board and elsewhere believe.

The only conspiracy theory that hold water is the conspiracy to destroy the moral and religious foundation of our nation.

THAT was/is being done consciously - not to cause mass shootings - but that evil is a secondary result of the greater conspiracy to destroy us from within. AND the manifest evil of mass shootings helps further the conspiracy to enact ineffectual legislation that further cripple the natrual freedoms our constitution was designed to protect.

The 'conspiracy' is outlined in any honest examination of the communist/socialist ideology.

And any disruptive event that 'happens' as a result of the gains the conspiracy has already made just makes it easier for them to enact the next stage of their long term strategy.

+++ WE WILL DESTROY YOU FEOM WITHIN +++

How we back away from this course is the difficult question - it may well be already too late. It is close to impossible to revert from a nihilist culture to a morality based culture - that will necessarily have to arise again as a mass - but individually based - recovery from the ashes of the dystopia that is upon us.

That's because government is imperfect and frequently incompetent or overwhelmed. Additionally we have rights that prevent them from confining us without some due process. That allows for the window to act.

Two Saturdays in a row now that the Fox News usual nightly shows were not on due to constant 24/7 coverage of this.

It is ridiculous and the timing seems so suspicious as a get Trump gotcha because everything else has failed. The talking points always orchestrated.

No.

But if you can't see there is a deliberate, calcated effort to disarm the populace to make way for autocratic socialist rule, you're being willfully blind.

Let's see.....

The left wing spent over two years pushing a totally false Russian interference narrative.

The left wing murdered Seth Rich in cold blood to cover up their election misdeeds

The left wing, willing and joyfully, will rip a baby limb by limb from the womb.

I respectfully submit those who think they would stage shootings like this to advance their gun control narrative are not conspiracy theorists, they are simply employing deductive reasoning.

You think it's more comfortable to think that our own government and "elites" are killing their citizens for power and wealth than it is to believe that there are wackos that commit random acts of violence? Seriously?

I would much rather believe that all these violent acts are separate and random rather than being the machinations of a powerful group.

It's been proven that conspiracy theories and false flags exist. It's more believable to me that "anti-conspiracy" people refuse to accept evidence such as actual documents and testimony from government employees as a means to cope with being unable to accept that powerful people are willing to commit atrocities for their own benefit than the other way around.
