How can you say this while railing about candidate “quality” and fretting over who primary voters choose to represent them?
This is the politically aware Republican who still wants to fit in at the country club/insert random social organization. They are scared of being actually conservative. So they’re trying to find the mythical conservative that the “general public” will approve.

And the Republican establishment.
Yet here he comes again, looking for their money and a ticket to the general election.
If Trump is treated so badly by the R’s, why doesn’t he run as a third party candidate?
MAGA Party?

Stubborn hypocrisy it is. We get it, you don’t like Trump.
Just don’t expect anyone to take you seriously about desiring any unity in the party when all you’re doing is calling pro-Trump nominees bad names.

The republicans quit on him. End of story. Never forget.

If that’s true, he won’t be able to motivate the same demographics that provided Trump with a winning map through the rust belt.

Trump and his sycophants are dividing the Republican party.
Should we have primaries where the voters choose the candidates they want on the ticket or not?
Should we skip all that and let Mitch McConnell pick them?
Should Georgia Republicans choose their own candidates? Or Arizona? Or Pennsylvania?
Assuming you say yes, shouldn't the party commit to supporting those candidates? Isn't that the point of the Party? To get their candidates elected?
Or is it to shite on their voters and substitute their judgement for that of voters?
Mitch McConnell and the Paul Ryan wing preferred Biden over Trump and they preferred the Democrat candidates over their voters choices.
That is the problem. Not Trump.
If Masters, Oz, Walker and Lake had won, Trump would have emerged stronger than ever.
There was no way anyone is Washington was going to allow that to happen.
Washington Republicans had one goal this midterm cycle. Weaken Trump.

Who did you vote for in 2020 for President?

Loads of Trump loyalists need to figure out that an equal load of Trump skeptics on the Right are just as, if not more, conservative than they are - and it isn’t a matter of liking or disliking Trump. It’s that he’s not good at his job as leader of the Right/Republican party. And for the record, Trump isn’t all that conservative.
I like Trump plenty. I like a lot of what he did as President, but for me he totally shite the bed on Covid and that carries a ton of weight. Moreover, he made shitty appointments. And for a guy that’s supposed to fight the establishment for us, he sure was good to permanent government.

You’re right.
Attacking Trump supporters as if they’re sycophants isn’t going to bring them into the fold.

Right here.
And to reinforce it a bit-Trump is not conservative. At all.
He is very good at getting a certain demographic to become emotionally attached to him. Will give him that.
To bad that demo isn't 51% of the country...

I’m not sure what kind of attack you’re referring to, but as for sycophants - there is a large contingent Trump sycophants. Is that a controversial view?

Let’s assume there is a large contingent of Trump sycophants. Do you want those voters voting with you in 2024 or not?

If you’re bothered by Republican nominees who aren’t conservative, you’ve not liked our nominees in a while.
