It appears that way seeing as it's the American consumer who has actually chosen to buy foreign products instead of domestically manufactured goods to keep jobs here

What??? Thats short sighted, to say the least.
As American corporations moved production/manufacturing to China and other countries for fractions of the labor cost, smaller American companies could not compete and the American consumer had little choice.

Trumps economic strategy is aimed at reversing this. Why should anyone believe YOU know better than Trump and his team? Your just like me, some random person on a message board crying like a lil bitch.
Would you rather Harris won??? Use your damn head.

Correct. We buy based on price first, everything else a distant second.

That includes these posters who want protectionist policies. I guess the thinking is they're not disciplined enough to do it on their own, so get the government to make the decision for them through market manipulation.

If you aren't outside on a window ledge ready to jump right now, you are just a poor living pay check to pay check.

Be careful walking on downtown area sidewalks today everyone

Lol... anyone dumb enough to jump off a ledge based on how the market reacts to change really should take that leap. The stock market reacts to everything in a hyper reactionary manner.

This reminds me of all the weak arse people weeks and days before the election telling us that our votes didnt matter and Dems would win regardless. How did that turn out??

Buying cheap foreign components, adding value then selling to the public has created and lifted many small businesses.

These tariffs are a gift to massive corporations

Unless you've just made terrible investment decisions your whole life

But what if you have?

Do you realize that half of all Americans are below the median IQ?

That's an awful lot of stupid people.

These are the same people that some 20-30 years ago started just buying cheap Chinese crap instead of American products, at the loss of American manufacturing jobs. And now here we are. Do you really expect them to make informed decisions on something as complex as investing in the stock markets?

They don't actively invest in the stock market.

Do you know what that strategy is? It's having the government artificially inflate the prices of imports to try to coerce the American consumer to buy domestic products again.

Why does the American consumer need to be coerced into buying American products? Why don't we do it just because it's in our own best interests?
