I feel the same way.

Raise your hand if you want your finances under investigation.

The House may, but no way the Senate affirms it with what we know right now.

A Dem attempt to impeach trump very well may help his reelection chances if he decides to run

If you aren’t doing anything illegal why would you care?

Just depends on what else comes out, if anything else does. If Dems win the House this year, they won't be seated until this time next year. A lot can happen in a year.

DEGenerates support the Patriot Act.

Don't worry about being spied upon if you aren't doing anything wrong.

Yikes.

Not that the DNC should take my advice or anything, but successfully impeaching Trump on what right now look like a big pile of nothing to most people, after the economic year we've had (asssuming a continuation) is a recipe to motivate the GOP base in ways that the DNC would not appreciate.

Better to rattle the saber to drum up their own base, and let him finish out.

How far are you libs willing to run down that rabbit hole? How many "this time we've got him" holes are you going to go down before you realize Trump/Bannon are playing you for a fool. It really is fun to watch. Bannon puts out the claim of laundering and y'all all jump on it because Bannon was sooooo close to Trump. And then it will be revealed there is not one iota of evidence of such a claim.

Do you honestly believe that a man with that much money would even attempt to run for POTUS if there was even the smallest chance he could go to jail for some impropriety?

Say the Dems win the House, and Pelosi is back as Speaker. You can criticize her for a LOT of things, but one thing she is brilliant at is her political savvy as it relates to the Speakership role. She's not going to bring Articles of Impeachment to the floor of the House without assurance there are the needed votes in the Senate.

Impeachment talk right now is pretty dumb given the R advantage in the Senate. It's going to take something major coming out to get the ball rolling.

maybe they eventually get Trump but remember - the best they have on Manifort is not filing the necessary paperwork...

Considering Mike Pence would step in, what would be gained, politically?

Would you rather the 2020 race be against Mike Pence, or Donald Trump?

Well one, I'm not convinced Pence is completely clean in this, but assuming he is, he'd be a lame duck President. It's hard for a party to survive an impeachment in the short term. Even if he's clean, he'll be damaged goods and won't get much accomplished.

I'll take that bet. That article is a huge load of horseshite.

How many people owe that bank money? Are all of them tainted by an investigation into it's relationship with "Russian mob" ? NO? Then why do you want to paint Trump with that brush? I'm sure if you ask Trump about Kushner's debt he'll refer you to Kushner. What a total failure of an article.

I should have been more clear. In the context of a federal investigation around money laundering, why would you care. In fact, why wouldn’t you welcome it?

So that's what it's about? Obstructionism. This is where the Dems\Libs have gone astray. If Trump/Republicans want to provide me with more money in my pocket with tax reform what is your/Dems counter to that? If your side can't counter with a better offer, who wins? Who loses?

What? Not sure how you came to that conclusion. I'm talking about the perception Pence will have IF Trump is impeached. He was an integral part of the campaign. Even the majority of Republicans in Congress will be hesitant to work with him. Has nothing to do with obstructionism, and everything to do with political survival.

This isn't your ordinary debt - Trump was sued for defaulting on a $40 million real estate loan payment and ended up paying it back... by borrowing greater than $300 million from the private wealth division of the same bank (the same division that's paid hundreds of millions in fines for Russian money-laundering).
