What happens when we collect less in taxes
it is baked into the cake in regards to the projected deficit spending.

The CBO assumes that any tax cuts are 100% reduction in revenue for the amount of the tax cut (estimated) and thus are added to the deficit as 'spending'.

History shows tax revenue goes up with tax cuts even if not accounted for in GDP.

Our system of government finance is so complex it is nearly impossible to know what the truth is.

Maybe Congress or a Blue Ribbon Commission could summon Feral Reserve officers to a Special Hearing to help straighten this befuddling mystery out once and for all? Certainly there's a 'Break Glass For Financial Emergency' section in the original 1913 manual.

Until he quickly realized he could pay bigger, older bullies to launch his reprisals.

Well, that’s simply not true.

It’s a general principle. It is not a hard and fast rule. Otherwise, cutting taxes to zero would increase tax revenue to infinity.

I, for one, would love to test that theory.

But yes. The CBO did the exact same thing as they are doing now in Trump's first term when taxes were cut.

That revenue went up.. not down

Congress is a fricking mess. Republicans can't even manage to work with Republicans to improve the country let alone Garner bipartisan support to pass something major.

Democrats I'm not even sure have a platform anymore. They just exist to oppose trump.

We need more new political parties. America should vote for anyone who is not a Republican or Democrat. It would at least force compromise and start our government functioning again.

It's only general principle because you include the most absurd scenario. If you keep things within the realm of reality, lower taxes have consistently increased revenue, enough to where you can say it with confidence. You can still admit the truth while claiming you don't like the bill. You don't have to invent ridiculous arguments to do that.

It’s called an argumentum ad absurdum.

The Laffer Curve has many points on it where decreasing taxes would also decrease revenue.

For bonus points, tell me where we are on the Laffer Curve presently.

I do not.
But keeping the status quo with Federal spending is a complete non-starter.

You would’ve said the same thing when you stepped in the voting booth in 2024.

The democrats vote in a bloc on EVERYTHING.

Anything "bipartisan" with them would be worthless.
