trying to answer with "tribalism" when 2/3 of my OP showed a LACK of tribalism, is a perplexing response

Damn, you see this all the damn time in those videos. The suspect acts like he is suffering from aphasia or something, and there is a reason for his actions. He is looking for an opportunity.
Common theme - the suspect knows that he is about to go back in for parole violation or he has warrants out.

For them, it's not about right or wrong, but black or white.

Am I black or Am I Black: Africanity, Ethnicity & Tribalism
... its a terribly, stupidly written piece ... but it's this type of thinking that drives what you are looking for:
quote:
Given the foregoing, I submit that such disavowals depend on which side we fall, wittingly or unwittingly: Are we black (with small letter b) or are we Black (with a capital letter B)? The former is a relic and machination of White Supremacy, steeped in and shot-through with the essentialism of racialized commodification and occupation which flattens and narrows Africanness for its colonial purposes by such tribalist thinking, while the latter is inclusive drawing from a history of resistance and self-humanization to which we all find a home within Africanness as united peoples

When a white guy is shot and killed by police white people are like yeah well he shouldn't have resisted arrest and definitely shouldn't have went for his gun
Or if it appears the cop was wrong we look not at racial bias but rather the bigger questions of whether things like no knock warrants are constitutional, if police have too much immunity to consequences, or if police are too militarized or not well trained. You know, the root of the problem.

only conservative thinkers hold their own accountable, even to a fault. a conservative will hold their nose and vote against another conservative if he was found with, say, hookers, for example, even if they agree on everything else. this is how we ended up with JBE.

I could explain what actually happened but I assume you enjoy believing your false narrative.

Nah...they stick together when there is perceived racism/bigotry by whitey, but when it comes to black vs black, it's every man for himself. (see Chicago)

I’m a white dude who’s 49 years old and has Crohn’s disease. I’ve had 7 surgeries, 4 of them major, I have no colon and 18 inches of small intestines have been removed. Life is damn tough, but I love every second of it. The liberal side has turned into, to quote Johnny Majors, “A legion of miserables”.
