People should realize that this poem was written during the war of 1812 which was fought because the Brithish wanted the U.S. to end slavery.

ETA: It wasn't until 1833 that Britain abolished slavery in its empire territories. I wonder why they went to war in 1812 against the U.S.A. to abolish slavery here??

The poem was written after a long night of bombing and the U.S. held the fort. Still the war was about ending slavery.

No, it wasn't. It was about the Brits trying to stop US trade with France, stop US expansion in the "New World" and a hopeful attempt to bring the former colonies back under British control.
Any British overture to slaves on US soil was nothing more than propaganda meant to create a distraction for the US during the war.
It takes all of 5 minutes to research that.
